Some research has shown that supplemental branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) (typically 10 to 20 grams per day) do not result in meaningful changes in body composition,1 nor do they improve exercise performance or enhance the effects of physical training.2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 However, BCAA supplementation may be useful in special situations, such as preventing muscle loss at high altitudes and prolonging endurance performance in the heat.8, 9 One controlled study gave triathletes 6 grams per day of BCAA for one month before a competition, then 3 grams per day from the day of competition until a week following. Compared with a placebo, BCAA restored depleted glutamine stores and immune factors that occur in elite athletes, and led to a reported one-third fewer symptoms of infection during the period of supplementation.10 Studies by one group of researchers suggest that BCAA supplementation may also improve exercise-induced declines in some aspects of mental functioning.11, 12, 13

      I would say this product is quite effective! It helps you recover as long as you are taking a good protein supplement with it. My brother and I both use this. I (22 years old) use it more of post work out or if I am feeling sore. My brother(16 years old) uses it as a pre, during, and post workout.

      Ingredient Profile-per 1 scoop
      * L-Leucine 2.5g. Essential amino acid acquired through diet or supplementation.

      * Citrulline Malate 2.0g. Reduces muscle fatigue.

      *Beta Alanine 1.6g. Non essential amino acid. Helps reduce muscle fatigue. Can give some people 'tingles' when first used.

      * L-Isoleucine 1.25g. Essential amino acid that helps in endurance and assists in repair of the muscle.

      * L-Valine 1.25. Enhances energy, increases endurance and aids in muscle tissue recovery.

      * HICA 0.75g. Helps lean muscle mass and delays fatigue.
      Mix-9/10
      I mixed 1 scoop with 20oz of water in a blender bottle and drank intra workout. Very little foam put placed a few ice cubes in the bottle and was fine by the time I arrived at the gym for my training session.
      Taste-10/10
      Watermelon, Lemon Lime or Fruit Punch. I have tried and purchased all three flavors. Amazing taste when mixed with 20oz of water. I guess you could do more or less depending on desired sweetness but I found 20oz was perfect for my taste.
      Effectiveness-9.5/10
      I noticed great intra workout recovery while taking this product. In the past, well over a year ago I used Scivation Xtend and this was the first BCAA since then I have taken. I noticed that my endurance was up and my rest periods between sets were faster now, usually 45-60 seconds. Last I noticed less soreness on off days and even post workout days! Solid product that has become a staple in my training.
      Overall-9.5/10
      As stated above, Cor BCAA will be a staple in my training from now on. It is a great performance blend and the best BCAA I have used. I have never had a bad experience with any Cellucor product, and this is no different. Use this intra workout and see your recovery and gains emerge. Great job Cellucor!

              This product is awesome ! have tried other products and had little or no effects... In real could only do 20 pushups of 2 sets and now during workout I take this product and could 45 pushups of 5 sets along with my heavy regular work out..                       One scoop is really all you need in a 16.9 oz water bottle because of the concentration of the mix. It tastes and smells like the lemon lime gatorade. Very good product and works best if you stack it with other Cellucor products like the C4 or P6.

                        Best tasting BCAA's ever. Not a huge fan of BCAA's normally but these are awesome. Taste amazing although if you don't use enough water it is really sugary. Great with helping with recovery and keeping your muscles pumped up all throughout your workout. Would definitely recommend another solid cellucor product. I personally take 2 scoops per workout because I love my Cor BCAA's but one has also seemed to work just fine for me.
