Exotic Fruits and Berries Boast Big Antioxidants

Exotic Fruits and Berries Boast Big Antioxidants
Exotic Fruits and Berries Boast Big Antioxidants: Main Image
Ruby-red pomegranate is an antioxidant superstar

From South America to Malaysia, from Hawaii to China, fruits, berries, and their juices are being hailed as the new superfoods. Boasting high amounts of antioxidants and other vital nutrients, these superfoods can play a supporting role in a healthy diet. They are widely available as antioxidant juices, supplements, or added ingredients in smoothies, recipes, and other premade products.

Rush of antioxidants

Antioxidants are the body's armed forces, working to prevent free-radical damage to the body's cells, which is associated with premature aging and disease.

  • Pomegranate: Ruby-red pomegranate is an antioxidant superstar. The distinctive sweet-tart flavor of the seeds and juice adds flare to food and drink. Native to Iran and the northern Himalayas in India, the pomegranate today is grown in California and Arizona.
  • Acai: Another rich antioxidant source with a notable taste, acai is a like blueberry crossed with dark chocolate. Derived from Amazon palmberries, its rich purple pigment denotes a high antioxidant level. According to the manufacturers, acai is also high in amino acids and fatty acids, which help to keep cell membranes supple. You'll find acai in smoothies, juices, teas, and powders.

Exotic fruits for vitality

A host of other fruits from around the world show promise for their health-promoting properties, though research is needed to confirm their benefits:

  • Goji: The berries and juice of the goji fruit holds its nutritional treasures. From the Ningxia province of China, goji, a fruit of an evergreen shrub, was traditionally regarded as a longevity-promoting and strength-building tonic. Goji is high in antioxidants and amino acids, according to the manufacturers.
  • Mangosteen: The juice of the native Malaysian mangosteen. Garcinia mangostanas contains a class of antioxidants called xanthones, which hold promise for their disease-fighting properties.
  • Noni: Noni, or the morinda tree, is found in the Polynesian Islands and Hawaii. The fruit and its juice are used traditionally as a laxative and topically for skin ailments. Today noni producers tout it for its ability to aid a wide variety of conditions from improving asthma to assisting in weight loss.
  • Maqui: According to the manufacturers of the maqui products, this Chilean berry has the highest known antioxidant content of any fruit and has been traditionally used by Mapuche Indians for supporting stamina, increasing strength, and promoting healthy immune response.

Keep it real

When trying new products-especially those that make big promises-do your research and consult your healthcare practitioner so you can make informed choices. Remember that moderation and variation are the keys to health, and a wide variety of foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and nuts and other protein sources, will work together to promote health and vigor.

I received an Epiq Strength sample pack to try out. I found the effects of the creatine and beta alanine together worked really well. I liked the taste as well. It helped out during the last few reps of every set for sure. I would take it again.

Comments about EPIQ™ Strength – Fruit Punch:

I bought epiq strength a few months ago because I wanted to gain lean muscle mass, and wanted a pre-workout with creatine. What attracted me to it initially, was the small container. I was looking for a concentrated creatine that would not leave me felling bloated and full of water before the start of my workouts.

It works! I was weighing in at 160 lbs and after my second container was half way done I was at 170 - 175 lbs consistently. I felt it working after the first couple workouts. That being said it made me want to lift everyday - which im sure was a big reason why i gained so much weight and muscle as fast as i did. I've also had lots of people come up to me at the gym, or friends i haven't seen in a while tell me how much bigger i've gotten, or ask me what supplements i'm taking.. and during that period all i was taking was epiq strength.I Wasn't even taking protein powder because I felt as though my diet supplied enough protein naturally.

Im currently off of the product and trying other pre-workouts to see if I get results with other products.

One more note: I was taking 4 scoops before my workouts and none on my off days. Some people at the store and gym told me i was overdoing it and others said i was under doing it, so it's really whatever you think is best. I experienced lots of gains with 4 scoops about every other day.

              Hope this helps.

Epiq Strength is another great product from the line of supplements from Epiq! I have been using this for about a week and I love it. I feel stronger and this also helps with muscle recovery so thats a plus as well. I take only one scoop about 30 minutes before workout, the directions allow for additional servings but one scoop seems to be enough for me. No complaints!

Comments about EPIQ™ Strength – Fruit Punch:

Creatine is an essential supplement for just about every weightlifter. Although creatine monohydrate has been around for a long time, creatine HCL is another form that has become increasingly popular. For those who may be concerned with bloating from creatine mono, creatine HCL prevents this from happening. Furthermore, whereas one normally requires 5 grams of creatine mono, a smaller dosage is required for HCL. 1 scoop gives about 750mg, and it mentions to take 1 scoop for every 100 lbs of body weight; 1.5-2 scoops should be fine for most people. Also, beta-alanine has numerous proven benefits. The fruit punch flavor tastes really good! Almost like a kool-aid. Personally, I take this post-workout since my newest pre-workout supplement (Epiq Power) already has creatine HCL in it.

Comments about EPIQ™ Strength – Fruit Punch:

I received Epiq Strength in the mail as a sample to try out. When I read up about it I was hesitated about the creatine and how it will effect me. Cause I use other creatine products and it made me bloated and drink a whole lot of water. Which I dont mind drinking water anyways. But taking Epiq Strenth I have notice some gain in my lifting and able to last longer when I workout. I stack this with the Epiq Hardening, and boy does it make you go pump harder and able to lift longer in the gym. I felt more recovered the next day as this product helps with supporting your body's anabolic(muscle building) hormones and decreases the body's level of cortisol. I also like how this product is free of banned substances. I would like to recommaded this to my friends and collegues. I would like to say thank you for letting me trying your wonderful products and I am really impressed by your products. I am honored.

Comments about EPIQ™ Strength – Fruit Punch:

Got another great product from EPIQ, big shout out and thank you for sending this my way. So far, I've only had great experiences using this brand. No filler ingredients, just straight forward to the point evidence based ingredients. Here is some things I've noticed since trying this out for a few days.
First off, I'm 5 weeks out from my 1st NANBF Natural bodybuilding show this season. So anyone that competes or has competed knows that by this time energy is low, calories are low, so trying to maximize your gym efforts is sometimes difficult. Anything that can give you an edge in and out of the gym day to day is important. This product falls into that category of necessities to help ensure you can still push yourself in the gym the same way you did 12 weeks out. I have felt a big difference with my recovery between sets and having a great pump during my workout. I'm still able to lift just as heavy as I have when I first started to cut down but I'm able to kill off more reps per set. The taste is good, and it mixes well. Looking to use this supplement along with other EPIQ products throughout the rest of my contest prep and upcoming shows this year.
Thanks again for another great product! Definitely above the rest when it comes to pre workout supplements out there.

Comments about EPIQ™ Strength – Fruit Punch:

Beta alanine and creatine have been found to have synergistic effects. They both work better together. This is why they are together in this product. I've noticed vast increases in strength and endurance as well as faster lean muscle gains. It's almost too good to be true. As with all creatine products, you must keep water intake high (a gallon or more of water a day). I haven't noticed much bloating and the flavor is really good.
