Athletic Performance
Dose: 20 grams daily up to 1.2 grams of per 2.2 of pounds body weight per day

Animal studies suggest that whey protein can increase gains in lean body mass resulting from exercise.1 A controlled trial found that six weeks of strength training while taking 1.2 grams of whey protein per 2.2 of pounds body weight per day resulted in greater gains in lean body mass, but improved only one out of four strength tests.2 Another controlled study found that people taking 20 grams per day of whey protein for three months performed better on a test of short-term intense cycling exercise than people taking a similar amount of milk protein (casein).3 However, a double-blind trial found that men taking 1.5 grams per 2.2 lbs of body weight per day of predigested whey protein for 12 weeks along with a strength training exercise program gained only half as much lean body mass and had significantly smaller increases in strength compared with men using a similar amount of predigested casein along with strength training.4 A controlled study of HIV-infected women found that adding whey protein to strength training exercise was no more effective than exercise alone for increasing strength or improving body composition.5

Whey protein may aid weight loss due to its effect on appetite. In a preliminary study, people were given 48 grams of either whey protein or milk protein (casein). Whey consumption resulted in more hunger satisfaction and reduced the amount of food eaten 90 minutes later compared with casein consumption.1 However, a double-blind study found that men taking 1.5 grams per 2.2 lbs body weight per day of whey protein for 12 weeks along with a low-calorie diet and a strength training exercise program lost the same amount of weight and body fat as did a control group that followed a similar program, but took a casein supplement instead of whey protein.2

Whey protein is a mixture of some of the proteins naturally found in milk. The major proteins found in whey protein include beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin. Whey protein has one of the highest protein digestibility-corrected amino acid scores (PDCAAS; a measure of protein bioavailability) and is more rapidly digested than other proteins, such as casein (another milk protein). 1

      I take this product right before bed with my other stacks. After 90+ days, my veins are popping out, sex drive is through the roof, and I feel like a teenager with lots and lots of energy. I'm 31, married, and with a 4 year old daughter with high energy. I can run circles around my daughter from feeling younger again. I love the effects. Sense of awareness is through the roof...I can't imagine who wouldn't want to feel younger again. This stuff is the fountain of youth.

      Ive been on this product for 3 months now, very good results! Recovery time is quicker, im veiny all the time now, which i like the look of that! I do think it is a bit pricey, but it has a ton of ingredients including DHEA,and ZMA which to buy seperatly would cost a few bucks also. So if you look at the ingredients and then try it out a month yourself- youll see- its well worth it.
      I take it before bed, and will not be coming off it for awhile!

        I just bought the value pack for [$] and start taking Re-forge at bedtime. Well I been getting the sexual urge before bedtime. If I slept off, with 4-5 hours sleep. I feel like I can't get started for the morning.I have noticed my biceps muscle harden so that a plus. I am still new to this Reforge, my trainer recommend the ReMass, so this is my second bottle.

        This product is weird. It recommends use before bed, but it keeps me up all night, frequent trips to the bathroom, #1, and it doesnt really make huge difference in my ecovery time.

        I've found that its best to take it 2 to 4 hours before bed, if possible. I can say that i notice an increase in my already off the wall sex drive, and i can smell the testoserone ozzing out of my pores.

        While the other products in the beyond raw collection are effective, this one is questionable. If you can, buy it on a discount and experiment. I wouldn't recommend buying it for full retail value.

        I went into GNC looking to find a testosterone supplement for middle age men. Wasn't worried about sex drive, just concerned about decreased testosterone production in relation to building muscle. My sleep has been better, can push workouts and recovery is overnight as opposed to full day or two. Additional benefit has been an increased drive.

        This is a great product, although its a little expensive. The large pills are kinda hard to swallow but it helps it you take them with milk. (sorry for those of you who are lactose intolerant) After taking it for about 2 weeks, ive seen better vascularity, muscle density, energy and explosive strength. You definently wake up groggy in the morning if you do not get enough sleep. I had awsome dreams when i took it and did not wake up much through out the night.

          this product is pretty good. the zma helps with sleep. i've been using this along with a weight gainer to try to add size. i do believe i look more vascular since i started taking it, which was about 1.5 months ago. the only bad part is the price is too much for the results you get in my opinion. buy when they have bogo 1/2 off sale.
