Athletic Performance

Animal studies suggest that whey protein can increase gains in lean body mass resulting from exercise.1 A controlled trial found that six weeks of strength training while taking 1.2 grams of whey protein per 2.2 of pounds body weight per day resulted in greater gains in lean body mass, but improved only one out of four strength tests.2 Another controlled study found that people taking 20 grams per day of whey protein for three months performed better on a test of short-term intense cycling exercise than people taking a similar amount of milk protein (casein).3 However, a double-blind trial found that men taking 1.5 grams per 2.2 lbs of body weight per day of predigested whey protein for 12 weeks along with a strength training exercise program gained only half as much lean body mass and had significantly smaller increases in strength compared with men using a similar amount of predigested casein along with strength training.4 A controlled study of HIV-infected women found that adding whey protein to strength training exercise was no more effective than exercise alone for increasing strength or improving body composition.5

A preliminary trial found that 300 mg per day of MBP improved blood measures of bone metabolism in men, suggesting more bone formation was occurring than bone loss.2 A double-blind trial found that women taking 40 mg per day of MBP for six months had greater gains in bone density compared with those taking a placebo.3 No osteoporosis-related research has been done using complete whey protein mixtures.

Obesity

Whey protein may aid weight loss due to its effect on appetite. In a preliminary study, people were given 48 grams of either whey protein or milk protein (casein). Whey consumption resulted in more hunger satisfaction and reduced the amount of food eaten 90 minutes later compared with casein consumption.1 However, a double-blind study found that men taking 1.5 grams per 2.2 lbs body weight per day of whey protein for 12 weeks along with a low-calorie diet and a strength training exercise program lost the same amount of weight and body fat as did a control group that followed a similar program, but took a casein supplement instead of whey protein.2

Whey protein is a mixture of some of the proteins naturally found in milk. The major proteins found in whey protein include beta-lactoglobulin and alpha-lactalbumin. Whey protein has one of the highest protein digestibility-corrected amino acid scores (PDCAAS; a measure of protein bioavailability) and is more rapidly digested than other proteins, such as casein (another milk protein). 1

    I used Rebel during my bulk phase. Took 2 scoops a day to feel more of an effect.

    For the first few days of starting the cycle, I noticed fullness of my muscles. A potent focus during my workouts, strength and good pumps throughout the training. Also I noticed an increase of acne on my forehead and sideburns ( this happened during the first days of taking the product). The acne went away after a week of using the product. I started losing the pumps, muscle fullness and focus couple of days later ( I say 2 weeks after starting the product). And continued on taking the product daily as it recommended on the label.

    I decided to do 2 cycles of the product, ( 4 weeks on-2 weeks off-4 weeks on). I did not noticed any changes during the 2 weeks off. But I was able to maintain strength during both cycles.

    I stacked Rebel along with Re-Built Mass and Re-Forge. Along with a 3,000 daily calorie intake.

    Currently, I am not taking Rebel and in a cutting phase, but I still feel good strength at the gym. Maybe Rebel aided to maintain strength after finishing the cycle.

    The reason I gave it 4 stars, its due to the loss of focus, pumps and muscle fullness after 2 weeks of usage. If those factors would of continued for the entire cycle and the second cycle, than I would of given it 5 stars.

    Overall, Rebel is a good product that will help you gain strength. Still debating if I should added to my cutting phase stack. But its worth the shot if you are looking for strength in your workouts.

      First few days taking the product I felt a good focus and ability to continue on working out. I lost the effect after 2 weeks and so.

      I noticed fullness on my muscles and strength throughout the cycle.

      I took it for an entire 8 week cycle during my bulking phase. Along with Re-Built Mass and Re-Forge. Along with a 3,000 calorie intake.

      Overall it was a good product that supplemented my diet. Allowing to reach my bulk goal weight.

        i have taken a full four weeks which is one whole container if u take two scoops a day which i do. i take one scoop before i workout i also take a pre work out as well, then i take another scoop before i go to bed. it doesnt taste very good thats why i didnt give it five stars but i dont take things because they taste good i take them because they work and this one does. i have lots of energy and have made strength gains, also improves recovery time
