GNC SUPERFOODS SOY PROTEIN

GNC SuperFoods Soy Protein is a delicious way to incorporate the healthful benefits of soy into your diet. This superior soy protein features Solae™ Isolated Soy Protein and is produced from Identity Preserved Conventional Ingredients. This product meets the Solae™ Identity Preservation N0n-GMO (genetically modified organisms) Product Commitment for ingredients produced without Biotechnology.

Soy’s nutritional composition offers many health benefits. It includes isoflavones that may provide support maintaining bone density and a healthy cardiovascular system. These isoflavones also act as mild estrogens. In addition to these isoflavones, soy supplies phytic acid, which may provide antioxidant support. Each serving combines these important, naturally occurring isoflavones with 13 grams of soy protein. The FDA has determined that diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol, including 25 grams of soy protein a day, may reduce the risk of heart disease.

GNC SuperFoods Soy Protein features an exceptionally high-quality soy protein that is processed with water, rather than harsh alcohol. By using water, the integrity of soy’s naturally occurring isoflavones are preserved.

Health Notes

Soy Protein for Weight Control

Soy

Why Do Dieters Use It?*

Some dieters say that soy protein provides a source of low-fat, cholesterol-free protein.

What Do the Advocates Say?*

Protein is necessary for rebuilding tissue, which is especially important for bodybuilders. All types of protein provide the body with amino acids.

From an athletic point of view, soy is just another type of protein. Choosing soy protein over other types of protein adds variety to the protein choices available. However, because soy lowers cholesterol, it is an excellent choice for those also trying to lower their cholesterol levels.

Soy is a common ingredient in many meal replacements that are designed to provide a large amount of nutrients in a minimal amount of calories.

How Much Is Usually Taken by Dieters?

Animal and human studies have suggested that when soy is used as a source of dietary protein, it may have several biological effects on the body that might help with weight loss.1 A preliminary study found that people trying to lose weight using a meal-replacement formula containing soy protein lost more weight than a group not using any formula.2 However, controlled studies comparing soy protein with other protein sources in weight loss diets have not found any advantage of soy.3, 4, 5 When soy protein is used for other health benefits, typical daily intake is 20 grams per day or more.

*Dieters and weight-management advocates may claim benefits for this supplement based on their personal or professional experience. These are individual opinions and testimonials that may or may not be supported by controlled clinical studies or published scientific articles.

Comments about GNC NATURAL BRAND GNC SuperFoods Soy Protein - Unflavored:

This protein powder works great in my fruit and vegetable shake. I love that it mixes in extremely well with my Magic Bullet blender. I don't taste it at all, at least when it's mixed with everything else. The only thing I wish is that it would be offered in different flavors too.

My grandfather has bad healthy condition. Somebody suggested me to have a try of GNC products, so I bought 4 tins soy protein for him. He drinks the whole winter season. Everything goes on smoothly. Especially he haven't had a cold. Really very good. I recommend this product for daily use for elder people.

I have no idea what the first reviewer is talking about and I dont know what kinda shizzles they're mixing this with, it just sounds awful!!

I personally love this product, I used to but the I guess "old" gnc naturals soy protein, recently switched to this. Here's what I mix it with, 1/2 cup of ice, 8 onces of milk, a small or half a banana, and if I'm having an intense workout I add some peanut butter, about a tbs, delicious!! I promise.

Comments about GNC NATURAL BRAND GNC SuperFoods Soy Protein - Unflavored:

Chalky texture. I tried mixing it with sugar free powdered drink mix, zero calorie sports drink and chicken broth. In all cases it was very foamy upon mixing in shaker bottle. Also settled to the bottom of the bottle/glass quickly; did not stay in suspension. Smells aweful and nothing masks the taste.
