About This Condition

Menopause is the cessation of the monthly female menstrual cycle. Women who have not had a menstrual period for a year are considered postmenopausal.

Most commonly, menopause takes place when a woman is in her late forties or early fifties. Women who have gone through menopause are no longer fertile. Menopause is not a disease and cannot be prevented. Many hormonal changes occur during menopause. Postmenopausal women are at higher risk of heart disease and osteoporosis, presumably because of a decrease in the production of estrogen or other hormones.

    I agree with the others the old formula worked much better than this one does. I use this one since it is the only thing available. But I would not actually recommend it to a friend. Price is high for what it does.

    The new formula is a waste of money. I don't understand why they fixed something that wasn't broke?! I used the old formula for two years. Hot flashes and mood swings went away. Now they are back. BRING BACK THE OLD FORMULA!!

      I would agree that the old formula seemed to work better but the new one is much better than nothing!!! I took the old formula for two months before it went off the shelf. My mood seemed much better, probably because I could sleep when the hot flashes and night sweats went away. When it went off the shelf, I didn't have it for about four months and the hot flashes, night sweats and bad mood came back. I have just started taking the new formula for about a month and can feel a huge difference. The hot flashes are not completely gone like with the old formula but it's so much better than when I wasn't taking it. I have already recommended it to a few friends but they think the price is too expensive and it isn't included in the sales as much as the other products.

                Before this product was taken off the shelf and reformulated I hadn't had a hot flash in 2 years. Now with the new formulation, they are back and not going away. I am not happy.
