THE SECRET IS THE SOURCE OF PROTEIN!
METAMYOSYN® protein, based on metabolic research to help support lean muscle mass, was originally developed by a physician and has been studied in three published clinical trials. IN a groundbreaking study, subjects using MET-Rx® Original Meal Replacement twice per day gained more muscle and strength over 12 weeks than a group receiving whey protein only supplements.
METAMYOSYN® protein is a superior quality blend which combines premium casein with whey and milk proteins, plus L-Glutamine and naturally occurring Branched Chain Amino Acids – Isoleucine, Leucine and Valine. The precise combination of proteins in METAMYOSYN® provides your body with a highly bioavailable fuel to meet your nutritional needs.
Research studies show that whey is a fast-acting protein while casein is slow-acting, which results in a more prolonged absorption rate to extend the delivery of amino acids to muscles. Milk protein naturally contains both whey and casein – to provide slow and fast-digesting properties.

- Supplement Facts
For adults, add one (1) packet to 16-20 fl. ounces of cold water or milk and mix thoroughly in a shaker or blender. Increase or decrease the amount of liquid to achieve desired consistency. Drink two shakes per day for best results. As a reminder, discuss the supplements and medications you take with your health care providers.
For Mass Gaining: add higher calorie foods such as peanut butter, 1-2% milk, and fruit juices.br> For Dieters: add lower calorie foods such as skim milk or just use water.
Immediately After Exercise: Makes an excellent post-workout shake by providing fast digesting proteins for immediate muscle support plus slow digesting proteins for extended amino acid delivery and recovery.*
With Meals: Drink along with your meal to increase the overall protein quality and content. You can also mix into oatmeal or add to recipes such as pancake and waffle mixes.
In Between Meals: Keeps levels of amino acids elevated so your body doesn’t go into a catabolic state that may otherwise lead to muscle loss.*
Before Bed: The high content of slow-digesting proteins in MET-Rx® Meal Replacement makes it a perfect before-bed supplement as it provides “time-released” amino acid delivery to your body while you sleep.

- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.
This supplement has been used in connection with the following health conditions:
Used for Amount WhyAtherosclerosis Refer to label instructions [1 star]Though not yet proven in clinical research, animal studies suggest that rice protein-based diets result in less buildup of atherosclerotic plaque compared with animal protein-based diets.Athletic Performance Refer to label instructions [1 star]Some athletes believe rice protein may also improve blood flow to muscle to enhance growth and repair. However, no research has investigated the effects of rice protein on athletic performance.Obesity Refer to label instructions [1 star]Dieters who are gluten or dairy sensitive and looking to supplement protein might consider rice protein, though its actual benefits for weight loss have not been studied.
Rice protein is extracted from rice and used in some protein supplements. Vegetarians may prefer it over protein supplements made from animal sources (such as whey or casein, which are milk proteins). Since rice is rarely involved in food allergies,1 rice protein may also be preferred by people with food allergies, and may be suitable to use in hypoallergenic infant formulas.2 Rice protein is not a complete protein, however, due to insufficient levels of the amino acids lysine and threonine.3, 4 Therefore, these amino acids are often added to rice protein products to correct this imbalance.

Comments about MET-Rx® Meal Replacement - Chocolate Peanut Butter:
This product has been extremely effective so far, I started taking this during times where I didn't have tiem for a meal. I cannot explain how graet the taste of the Extreme Chocolate is. It tastes like chocolate pudding, this drink is think and filling (I use milk) my brother used water and the shake ended up being thinner than mine though flavor was also not as highly rated as with the milk. This shake had me feeling great the next day, love the product, can't get enough.
