Health Notes

Krill Oil

Krill Oil
This nutrient has been used in connection with the following health goals
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Krill is a shrimp-like crustacean that grows abundantly in the ocean.1 Krill from colder ocean regions is high in EPA and DHA, the same omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil.Krill oil also contains phospholipids and antioxidants such as the carotenoid astaxanthin.2, 3 Animal research has found that a diet high in krill oil can significantly increase antioxidant activity and decrease potentially damaging free radicals in the liver.4

Comments about NNF Now® Grapeseed Oil:

As an acne sufferer for many years, I decided to try the natural route to help prevent and heal my acne. The over-the-counter and prescription medications were not working!!!! I read that Grapeseed oil helps to prevent acne and heal acne scars....fast. I also heard that it was really great with cystic acne. Well, after using Grapeseed oil for 5 days, I can see that it really works!

I am not only using Grapeseed oil as a moisturizer for my face, I use it as an all over body moisturizer and a moisturizer for my hair. I never knew that an oil-based product would work for my skin and hair. I haven't had a breakout since I started using the Grapeseed oil and my skin is glowing.

I use it morning and night. In the morning, I mix the Grapeseed oil with a little Geranium oil. I still use my normal gentle face wash, but nothing else. This stuff is Great!!!

Comments about NNF Now® Grapeseed Oil:

I originally bought this product for my hair but I've been using it in the place of my commercial brand lotion and it's excellent! I have peace of mind knowing that I'm not puting a lotion which is full of chemicals onto my skin. You would be surprised what's really in these lotions. I also you this oil on my hair as a hot oil treatment once a week and it makes my hair nice and shiney. It also moisturizes it very well. Very effective for both skin and hair.

Comments about NNF Now® Grapeseed Oil:

I picked this up at our local mall's GNC, with the intent of using it on our cats. Oil kills fleas. I had been using coconut oil, but that stuff sticks and the cats became an oily mess. I had read people have used this on their hair as a conditioner, so I figured it wouldn't be too much of an issue in cat fur. Almond oil didn't work - it was just as thick as coconut oil, and there are misgivings about almond toxicity and cats, anyway. I couldn't find anything bad about grapeseed oil, people have even orally given it to their cats.

Anyway, I've stuck to just around their necks, down their spine to the base of their tail, and behind their ears. I've done it to just one so far, and honestly? After she's been cleaning herself for a few minutes? Fur is not NEARLY as oily as anything else. Here's to hoping!

Comments about NNF Now® Grapeseed Oil:

My hair felt dry after my perm and I searched for something oil based but non greasy. I bought this thinking it would be great! I ended up using it more on my body as a moisturizer than my hair. I love that it makes my skin feel silky, smooth and hydrated but not greasy or oily. I even use it on my feet for at home pedicures ~ it's great! I haven't used it in the kitchen, however I read that it was edible; mine stays in the bathroom!

I have NEVER gone back to a website to comment on a recent purchase, but I am so in LOVE. I only received this oil 3 days ago, and already I have noticed my skin is moisturized well, not greasy. My dry scaly patches GONE and it seems to have magically 'healed' some stubborn, "old-lady" acne that didn't want to go away. (i'm 42). Can't WAIT to see what long term use does. Great VALUE!!

No, I don't cook with it. It's an excellent moisturizer for the entire body -- yes, even your face. I've used a lot of high priced creams and nothing absorbs or moisturizes like the grape oil. Use right after the shower with your favorite essential oil and you're good for the whole day.
