I would not suggest this product. First, each chew is individually wrapped. Second, the dog spit out the chew every time. Third, within 2 months, the chews were hard and the dog refused to eat them. Considering the money to purchase, the time to unwrap each one, the extra treats we gave so the dog would eat it....and then to throw half the bag in the garbage. Very disappointing.

Good option
TIP: These are not like your standard chewy dog treats, but are individually wrapped rectangular pieces that resemble caramel candies. If your dog has trouble chewing them, try flattening them with your fingers first. (That works for my dogs!)

I got these because one of my two dogs refused the chewable tablets. I considered the ones that are more like regular dog treats, but I didn't want to spend the extra money on them (they're much more expensive for some reason) not knowing if both my dogs will even like them. Luckily, they will both eat these. I think it's a decent price considering what they do. I pay around the same amount or more for my own human joint care supplements.

Another reviewer said they smell bad and yeah, they're not great, but these beef flavored ones smell significantly better than the sizzling bacon ones, in my opinion.

Most importantly, they do seem to help with the joint issues one of my dogs has been having (my other one hasn't been having any noticeable issues, but it was recommended we give her a joint supplement because she is a tripod dog and is getting to the age when she'll likely have issues.)

Horrible product
My 45 lb. cocker spaniel almost choked on this product, he could not chew it and gaged when he swallowed it. I did not realize it was a little square, paper wrapped, caramel type product, just like the ones they sell to humans! They looked like they were melting, oozing and sticking together.

Great product!
I purchased this Hip & Joint formula chews for my older dog that has arthritis and a mobility issue. I wasn't sure if this would help, but it really does work! She has really improved and it has made a huge difference. I would definitely recommend this product!

Note: Just like any other product, make sure you are consistent giving it to your dog every day.

Pet Chews
Chews were too difficult for my 7 year old Bichon to chew and stuck to the roof of his mouth and teeth. He refused to eat them--and I did try to trick him by concealing it in bread or peanut butter. Wasted my money. I'll never try them again and older dogs that may have loose teeth should never try them.

outstanding product
During a recent road trip my 10 year old husky mix Baluka started having a hard time getting up from a laying position and limping. Not sure if it was the hours of laying in the car or the day he spent in the metal kennel at Disneyland. My wife purchased this product and another gnc product for senior dogs. At first he didn't want to eat these and we had to hold his moth closed until he chewed and swallowed it,but now he eats it without problem and now after a few weeks he is not limping or having trouble getting up anymore.

Excellent product!!
I have a 7 year old Labradoodle with hip dysplasia. These chews have made a very noticable difference in his mobility and comfort. He loves the taste of them (and he's a picky eater) and begs for his daily "hip treats". Small dogs may have difficulty chewing them, but medium or large dogs have no problems gobbling them down.
