Good Mixer
Been using this for almost 5 months now and it does the simplest stuff with whey and pre-workout powder, but the battery life leaves much to be desired. Forget the generic pack-in ones, but use some brand name batteries and this mixer will do a fantastic job so long as you do not leave the 2 AAA batteries in it overnight; this thing eats up batteries more when not in use than actual!

I've made it a habit of removing the batteries when not in use to keep the mix going throughout a couple of weeks.

Some minor complaints are: one, it leaks a little at the bottom once you disconnect the mixer from its base, so the seal is not 100%; two, the max fill line is very small of 8-10 oz of liquid; and three, you cannot remove the blade inside for washing, so you can only rinse the mixer out immediately after use because it's not recommended that you even touch the blade.

Despite these shortcomings, it's still a decent mixer. Just know that you get what you pay for. There are better options out there, so do your research.

I love the idea of not having to shake my protein powder or blend it but, unfortunately this mixer still needs help, it may work better with other supplements better but as far a protein it needs more power. it leaves your protein shake chunky.

So far so good!
I'm buying a second one! If the protein powder is thin, it mixes very well. Haven't tried it with anything else yet.

Not what i expected at all
This was not what i was expecting. This thing can barely mix 1 full scoop of protein and DON'T even try 2 scoops. Waiting for this bottle called MagBlend to launch cause that bottle has a removable mixing blade and somehow works on magnets so hopefully no more leaks like I've had with the Promixx bottle. Not sure when the MagBlend bottle is coming out but they have a Facebook page i think. Overall the Vortex bottle was a waste!

Better Than Shaking
Use this to make pre and post workout shakes (Whey+water) and it does the job without a problem. I strongly recommend throwing the included batteries away and getting some Energizers (or any other name brand). I did so and it made a big difference.

You get what you pay for!
I'm gonna be honest, I wanted a 'Promixx: The Original Vortex Mixer' but the 'Vortex Portable Mixer' was cheaper and thought I would try it out. It works ok but not great: it looks like a toy, the motor is weak and the capacity is to small.
GNC were kind enough to let me return it so I dug deep and bought a Promixx - this thing is Gucci! I guess you get what you pay for!

Awesome
I mix everything in this and there is yet to be any of that left over unmixed stuff on the bottom of the mixer. I will not going back to the hand shakers.
