Nutritional Insurance For Mom & Baby
  • 1,000 mcg of folic acid to support healthy fetal development
  • 600 mg of bone-strengthening calcium
  • 400 IU of vitamin D-3 to enhance calcium absorption
  • Iron to support increased blood volume
  • Antioxidants to support immune health

PRENATAL FORMULA WITH IRON
GNC Prenatal Formula is a premium multivitamin that provides nutritional support for both mother and baby before, during and after delivery. Pregnancy is a special time in a woman's life and an important time to be mindful not only of your individual nutritional needs, but the nutritional needs of your baby as well. Maternal nutrition before and during pregnancy affects both your well-being and your infant's growth. As your baby develops through the early phases of life, your nutritional needs will also increase. After delivery, you need and adequate diet rich in essential nutrients such as depleted nutrient stores. This delicately blended multivitamin offers supplemental nutritional support for both you and your baby.

Nutritional Support
  • Supplies a balanced nutritional blend combining vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to supplement a healthy diet. Emerging research suggests that antioxidants can help protect the body from harmful free radicals that can destroy healthy cells
Folic Acid
  • Provides 1,000 mcg of folic acid, critical during the earliest weeks of pregnancy when a baby's organs are forming. Adequate intake of folic acid in a healthy diet before and during early pregnancy may reduce the risk of birth defects of the brain and spinal cord. Folic acid is also required for cell growth and DNA formation.
Calcium & Bone Health
  • Features 600 mg of bone-strengthening calcium which is vital during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester when fetal bones begin to calcify. If a mother's calcium level drops, her body can pull calcium from her bones resulting in loss of bone density. Also includes 400 IU of vitamin D-3 to enhance calcium absorption.
Iron
  • Includes iron to support placental and fetal needs and a mother's increased blood volume.

A complete nutritional program should be followed prior to conception through pregnancy and maintained while breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about adding GNC Prenatal Formula to your daily nutritional regimen.

Wrong Label Claim
Your label claim for Molybdenum is wrong. It should be in mcg not in mg.
It should be 50mcg not 50 mg and then you can calculate daily value

I take with food sometimes, but I take it w/o food sometimes too and have no problems with my stomach adjusting. I am not pregnant but plan on becoming pregnant one day, so I am taking it to prepare my body for it should it happen. I noticed my skin has been looking extra glowy, not sure if it is due to this pill or not, but I do know I will not stop taking them!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Question is regarding " GNC Prenatal Formula with Iron" 120 Caplets
286322
Price: $19.99
Product says " Serving per container 60 and take 2 tablets daily with food."
Q- How many tablets I am supposed to be taking every day? Is it 2 tablets twice a day or once a day? I am unsure if it is one month supply or two month supply?
A shopper on Sep 17, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The dosage is two tablets per day with food. That means that a bottle that contains 120 tablets, would be a TWO month supply.
Should I take any additional vitamins? like dha or omega3-6-9? I'm pregnant now, 4 weeks
A shopper on Sep 15, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, when i was pregnant, my doctor asked me to eat multivitamins every day.
My question is in regard to the “Prenatal With Iron” vitamin. All other prenatal (and general multivitamins) I’ve ever taken have made my urine bright yellow. This vitamin DOES NOT, and so I am wondering why. Is it more effective? Is it a formulation that doesn’t have much waste associated with it and therefore less visibility in my urine? Curious.

Thanks!
Camille
A shopper on Jan 28, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Your body isn't absorbing the pre-nates, and you are peeing out a
certain amount of the vitamins when your urine is bright yellow. it could be that your body can't use all
the vites, or that it is in a form that doesn't absorb well. Since you have less yellow urine that simply means your body is absorbing more of the product and utilizing it.
I am having twins(now 5weeks). Should I take four tablets a day instead of two tablets?

According to the label, two pills should be taken everyday for pregnant women. Is this OK for people with different weights? My wife is about 50KG and plans to have a baby. How should she use this multivitamin?

Can this be taken during the whole pregnancy period? You know the Folic Acid is critical before and during early pregnancy, I've been six months already. Can I still take this product? Will there be any side effects of taking it since it contains 1000 mcg of Folic Acid? Thanks!
A shopper on Mar 18, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes. When I was pregnant, it was recommended I take prenatal vitamins before, during and after pregnancy. The folic acid is good for you, not bad.
I know many people have asked how to take this and I saw it was recommended to take it twice a day and with a meal. I am curious about this though because it has iron in it and everything I am reading so far is suggesting to take iron on an empty stomach and not with dairy products. I am pregnant and need the additional iron but want to make sure I'm taking it properly.
A shopper on Feb 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Most people find multivitamins less likely to cause stomach upset if taken with food. Though iron is recommended to be taken on an empty stomach, other vitamins in this supplement should be taken with food. It is fine to take iron with a light meal. If concerned about iron absorption, discuss this vitamin with your physician.

As for the vitamin amount, such as 1000mcg folic acid, 600mg calcium, 18mg iron....
Is the amount of vitamin in one caplet, or in two caplets? I am confused because the serving size is two caplets.
