Nitric Oxide
Nitric Oxide- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

[2 stars] It has been speculated that AAKG may increase production of nitric oxide, a substance known to enhance blood flow. In one study, AAKG improved measures of strength and short-term power performance in weight lifters.Nitric oxide is the popular name for AAKG (arginine alpha-ketoglutarate), a compound made from the amino acid L-arginine and alpha-ketoglutarate, a substance formed in the body's energy-generating process. AAKG is a popular supplement among bodybuilders and other athletes because of claims that it increases production of nitric oxide in muscles. Nitric oxide is known to have blood-flow-enhancing effects,1 which could in theory increase the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to exercising muscle. While L-arginine by itself is known to increase nitric oxide production, no research has been done to show that AAKG does the same. However, double-blind trials of AAKG suggest it improves some measures of strength and power resulting from weight training.2, 3

Comments about Cellucor® NO Extreme N-Zero - Orange:
This stuff definitely works. My lifts went through the roof. It's a great product to use if you're looking to take a break from creatine as well.
One of the best pre-workouts around, no doubt about it. I wouldn't personally use this for cardio or plyometrics, I'd say it's more geared towards lifting but that's your call.- Gender:

Comments about Cellucor® NO Extreme N-Zero - Orange:
I have been taking this product for roughly 90 days through the last 2 phases and the beginning phase of p90x. I had previously used C4 which had a similiar energy boost, but was restricting me from slimming down due to the creatine content(myfault).
I take this roughly 5 minutes before i go to do my workout, and i feel it start to kick in as i go through the light warmup calisthenics.
The energy kicks in slowly, but consistently. It slowly picks up the harder you work and then levels out at a high output. There are no sudden rises and drops, just steady power for a solid hour.
If you do low intensity workouts, this isnt for you. It takes hard work for the formula to react, but once it does its very effective.
Over my last 90 days, i have gone from just over 220lbs to 183lbs this morning. This product has helped me reach my goals without a doubt.
Dont hesitate, if you have serious goals, you should use serious suppements. This fits the bill- Where did you hear about this product?:

Comments about Cellucor® NO Extreme N-Zero - Orange:
The NO Extreme N-Zero works great. I take 1 1/2 scoops before a workout and im going non-stop through the whole workout. It is costly but one of the very few creatine free pre-workout supplements. The taste also isnt the best but for the effect it has it's worth it.

Comments about Cellucor® NO Extreme N-Zero - Orange:
I often cycle preworkouts from creatine to no creatine and back and forth. My last venture into the NO creatine was the N-Zero. It was unbelievable. First I know a lot of people are concerned about flavor. The flavor is terrific. Tastes like orange tang. The pump/endurance/strength during workouts from the N-zero seriously makes you wonder if there is in fact creatine in it. The drink is really that strong. This is not only my NO creatine pre, but it's my spring/summer cut staple and I'll never go through another cutting period without it.

Comments about Cellucor® NO Extreme N-Zero - Orange:
The worst tasting of any I've tried so far. So nasty I couldn't believe I gagged it down but I wanted to give it a fair shot. So gross the thought of it makes me nausiated.
