I am a passionate outdoor athlete. My sports include road and mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, and white water kayaking. My biggest challenge is avoiding over-training and injuries.
This summer I trained for two different century bike races.
The first race I was well prepared but within a month of the second race I found myself exhausted and physically depleted. I consulted my professional trainer and it was concluded I had once again over-trained and was not going to be able to do my bike race. I shared this with a friend who was familiar with Somathil. She highly recommended I try Somathil to help with recovery and exhaustion. I started taking it and progressed with very light training. At the end of 4 weeks, I was fully recovered and able to race. Even with 6,800 vertical feet of climbing, I was stronger than I have ever been. I am now back in the gym weight lifting. I am lifting twice as much weight than I was two months ago after 8 weeks on Somathil.
As an endurance athlete, muscle mass is not my goal. I adjusted my caloric intake accordingly and I am leaner but not heavier.
I can't wait to see how I feel after 6 months on Somathil!Pros
