Rice protein is extracted from rice and used in some protein supplements. I previously reviewed this with 5 stars but the formula for this protein has changed. It doesn't mix as well as before in a blender ball cup. It still mixes but it's much thicker than before so you really need to shake it hard. It also is very foamy. I also think the flavor has changed to a less intense cappuccino flavor even though there is a little note on the tub about richer flavor. They have added more fiber so that's a plus. HOWEVER, there are more calories per serving (bigger scoop) as well as fat, cholesterol, carbs, sugar, and sodium but the amount of protein per serving has not increased and since they didn't give any more powder but you are using more per serving, there are also fewer servings per container. In my opinion, these aren't good changes and since I've had gastric bypass surgery, I need to watch my sugar intake or I become ill. With these changes in mind, I won't be purchasing this particular product any longer. I'm terribly disappointed. And there aren't many cappuccino flavors available so the fact that it was a quality product that was affordable made it a win-win. No so anymore. Bad move Dymatize.

This protein mixes instantly, no globs even in a blender bottle. No need for a mixer. It tastes great too. I drink it mostly on its own but occasionally, I'll mix in a tablespoon of chocolate protein powder with it. I drink it in the mornings for breakfast while on my drive to work. Not a bad thing to say about it. I love it. It's affordable and a tasty alternative to the standard choc, van or strawberry flavors you can always find without being overpriced. I'm a coffee fiend so I get a quick little fix with this before getting my actual brewed stuff later on. Take a chance on this, you'll be glad you did.
