Compared with other protein supplements, rice protein has more of the amino acid arginine, and since arginine is a vasodilator that can enhance blood flow to tissues, some athletes believe rice protein may also improve blood flow to muscle to enhance growth and repair. However, no research has investigated the effects of rice protein on athletic performance.

Obesity

Rice protein is extracted from rice and used in some protein supplements. Vegetarians may prefer it over protein supplements made from animal sources (such as whey or casein, which are milk proteins). Since rice is rarely involved in food allergies,1 rice protein may also be preferred by people with food allergies, and may be suitable to use in hypoallergenic infant formulas.2 Rice protein is not a complete protein, however, due to insufficient levels of the amino acids lysine and threonine.3, 4 Therefore, these amino acids are often added to rice protein products to correct this imbalance.

            I love peanut butter. And chocolate. They are usually my two favorite flavors of everything, so when I tried this bar, I expected it to be really good. It doesn't really taste like chocolate peanut butter and the flavor is weird. I love quest bars, but I won't be buying this one any time soon.

                  I really like the natural line of quest bars (without sucralose). Have tried them all except the strawberry cheesecake and I like them all. This flavor is definitely more solid than the others, so as many other reviews say, it is good to cut up and eat in small pieces. It takes awhile to eat it, but then I feel more satisfied. This is one of my favorite flavors. Make sure to drink with lots of water. It is a great product given all the protein and fiber. (If you are expecting a candy bar flavor or texture, you are going to be disappointed) If it didnt contain erythritol I would give it 5 stars.

                    I love chocolate. and sweets. after reading all the reviews i was convinced that the cookie dough & brownie flavors would be my favorites. but after buying a few singles of each at the local GNC, i found that I actually prefer this chocolate peanut butter flavor. The other two are so sweet they seem kind of one-note. This has a much better flavor IMO.....side note, to my surprise the banana nut & mixed berry bliss are delicious! they are now two of my favorites. but for a chocolate fix the peanut butter quest bar is my favorite

                      I was so surprised by this flavour! I was nervous of how this would taste, since I ordered 2 full boxes of chocolate peanut butter and cinnamon roll. I tried the cinnamon roll yesterday warmed in the microwave - my first impression wasn't "OMG".
                      But the chocolate peanut butter, oooh let me tell you, I have to really stop myself from eating all of them!! As soon as I took the first bite, I was hooked. By far my favorite out of the two! Chewy but not too chewy, if you like them soft you can pop it in the microwave, if you like crispy you can pop it in the oven. Yum!

                      I like the idea of this bar is its not too bad tasting. However, the bar is very chewy and the sweetener has a "crunchy" texture, alomist like getting sugar in your teeth. I love Quest Bars, but this one is not my favorite.
