Obesity
Dose: 3.2 to 4.2 grams dailyA double-blind trial found that exercising individuals taking 1,800 mg per day of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) lost more body fat after 12 weeks than did a similar group taking a placebo.1 However, two other studies found that amounts of CLA from 0.7 to 3.0 grams per day did not affect body composition.2, 3 Most double-blind trials have found that larger amounts of CLA, 3.2 to 4.2 grams per day, do reduce body fat;4, 5, 6, 7 however, one double-blind study of experienced strength-training athletes reported no effect of 6 grams per day of CLA on body fat, muscle mass, or strength improvement.8

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) is a slightly altered form of the essential fatty acid linoleic acid. Animal research suggests an effect of CLA supplementation on reducing body fat.1, 2 Controlled human research has reported that 5.6 to 7.2 grams per day of CLA produces only non-significant gains in muscle size and strength in experienced and inexperienced weight-training men.3, 4, 5 A double-blind study of a group of trained men and women reported reduced body fat in the upper arm after 12 weeks of supplementation with 1.8 grams per day of CLA.6 Further research using more accurate techniques for measuring body composition is needed to confirm these findings.

      I purchased this with the Super HD to take both together. The first day I took this my face broke out into a terrible rash, but the next day I took both supplements again and the rash was pretty explosive.

      I have taken thermogenics and CLA before with no reaction, so I suspected it may be the raspberry ketones. I cut out the CLK and continued with the Super HD and the rash is going away. GNC returned the product no problem though and I exchanged for a CLA product with no raspberry ketones.

      Other than the face rash (haha), it was easy to swallow with pleasant taste and no other side affects. I have various fruit allergies so I suspect the high concentration of ketones is what caused my reaction.

      I bought this product after trying Super HD and was upset at not buying/trying both at the same time! Great product that helped me reduce adipose fat in midsection. Take maximum dose (3 caps twice daily) for faster/better results.

      I lift weights 4x a week and perform cardio 3x per week, and follow a 1600 calorie diet. 150 g carbs, 150g protein and 45 g of fat.

      I take 3 capsules 2x daily. So 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon for a total of 6 caps a day. I also stack it with the Super HD fat burner from Cellucor (I take 2 of those per day).

      It has been a little over 7 days and I have lost over 3 pounds, something I found really hard to accomplish after months of dieting and exercising. What I found interesting is that I did not experience my usual water weight-gain after a cheat meal. I had 2 cheat meals this week (with Thanksgiving and all) and still maintained my 3+ pound loss.

      Lastly, what I like about the stack is that it doesn't impact my appetite. For some that's bad news but I hate the way supplements reduce my appetite. It keeps me from eating as frequently as I need to and I wind up eating the wrong things by the end of the day. This normalizes my appetite without completely wiping it out.

      For those complaining that it doesn't work, there may be a few things getting in the way. Do you drink a lot of water? Are you taking the maximum dose (like I am)? Have you tried stacking it? Also, are you eating too little? Yes, eating too little will cause you to stall.

        When i started my weight loss journey i was 189.2lbs. initially i was doing hotyoga(1 hr) and biking(20 -25 mins)along with my calorie restricted diet. but i believe that was not good enough. i wasn't seeing any improvement in my scale.
        After 2-3weeks i started taking cellucor along with my regimen. i started taking them on sept 2nd. by Sept 14th i was down to 184.8 lbs. i continued my journey and By nw (Oct16th) i am down to being 181.5 lbs. i felt more energetic, and have way less craving for food. also i drink hot water or herbal tea after every meal throughout the day. i do indulge myself during weekends. so i am overall happy with its result.

          My husband bought me this product as it was reccommended to him by our local BX GNC employee. I have taken the minimum dose everyday which is 3 pills, 3 times a day for the past 8 days. I started out at 188 and I am now down to 183. Thats a 5lb weight lost in 8 days which I am happy with. I do not work out very hard. I go on my elliptical for 25 mins 5 days a week and do light weights and leg excercises 3 days a week. I keep my calorie intake below 1500 but try to stay around 1200-1300 calories a day. This was a great way to jump start my diet and excercise plan. I have had zero side affects on this and I am usually prone to them with any pills. Overall I say this product is good for its purpose. I was skeptical after reading reviews but I'll bet the negative reviews are from people who want a miracle pill and do not want to excercise or eat right. I'd give this product a try if your starting out and want to kick start your diet.

            To put this in context: I'm a petite female (5-3, 115 lb) in her mid-20s who works out frequently and regularly 5-6 days/week. I'm also in the military, so strength and endurance are important to me. I decided to give CLK a try after using GNC's Total Lean CLA product for a couple of months with minimal "obvious" results. My goal is to get more tone and definition, to keep the fat off...not to lose a lot of weight.

            This product is only effective with a low carb and low sugar diet!

            Yeah, that means eating lots of lean protein (low fat meat, eggs and low-carb beans), an assortment of veggies especially dark leafy ones, fruits and moderate amounts of good fats (nuts, cheese/yogurt). Whether you're looking for weight loss or sculpting, CLK is only effective with proper nutrition and exercise. Now, you might be like: But is it worth the money? Do the math. 90 capsules (30 servings taking only one dose per day) comes out to a little over $2/day as a Member. Honestly? Not that bad.

            So, after a month of CLK, frequent and regular exercise and a healthy low-carb/sugar diet...I am happy to say I actually have to wear a belt with my size ZERO jeans and can show off my new ab lines and toned legs in my swimsuit.

              It took too long for it to work. I took three of these things a day and I would not shed a pound. I do weights and cardio three hours a day and this doesn't help at all. It did help control my appetite.

IF U HAVE THE PROPER DIET !!!!! this product only works WELL if you are taking in little to no carbs because it makes ur body burn fat before carbs. so u turn ur carbs (that u already have ) to fat and then u burn the fat and dont replace the carbs...DONE !!!!
