Whey Protein
Whey Protein- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
Taste: The Molten Chocolate has a very rich, chocolate taste to it. The first thing that came to mind for me was Outback Steakhouse's "Chocolate Thunder from Down Under". This was the only chocolate-flavored whey product I have used that had this rich of a taste (compared to BSN, Dymatize, EAS for me).
Mixability: This product mixes 100%, leaving no powder chunks or residue in the process. I have had good/bad experiences with whey, especially when mixing with milk, but this product mixes great. I have also mixed this product with Greek Yogurt and it makes for an excellent protein pudding or topping on a cake, waffles, etc.
Performance: There is really nothing magical about this product in terms of performance. It is like your standard whey product in terms of protein/carbs/fat, but the taste where it separates itself from the rest of the pack.
Dosage: You get one nice large scoop per serving, which is a positive for me. A lot of whey products sometimes require 2 scoops per serving just to obtain a 20-25g protein serving, which is a bit ridiculous. Simple directions. I wouldn't recommend going 2 scoops in 2x the fluid personally, as it would leave you feeling very full.
Overall: Overall as a whey product, Cellucor has done a fantastic job in the taste department and I truly feel like it puts them in a class of their own. From an ingredient perspective, nothing flashy or out of the ordinary, just your basic whey product, but if you're looking for a great tasting protein powder for your post workout shake, or if you like to bake with protein powder, Cellucor's Cor-Whey will NOT disappoint!- Gender:

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
Molten chocolate is pretty darn tasty! tastes like a melted hersheys chocolate. I have to say cellucor nailed it on the flavoring. There are several chocolate flavored proteins out there but this one fits my taste buds. Great for baking muffins and pancakes! This is right next to CL's pronom which I love as well.

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
Taste in milk 8/10 Was a light not overly sweet chocolate, maybe a subtle fudge/dark chocolate flavor in there, not very sweet. Like a good chocolate milk, not those overfilled sugar ones. I just prefer sweeter flavors so this is subjective.
taste in milk w/ coffee ground oats 8.5/10 Same as above, oats add a textural thing, i like it.
Mixing 7/10 Mixed in blender bottle with blender ball 7oz milk. Lot of foam/froth. Seems to be a chocolate flavor thing.
-Once i let sit texture/mouth feel was great smooth/creamy no grit sediment leftover. It was thick but not as thick as a pure casein. Of course can later this based on amount of liquid you add. Same as flavor more lees liquid to suit your taste.
25g premium protein, along with added digestive enzymes, and no fillers is excellent- Gender:

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
This has to be my favorite top 3 protein chocolate flavors. I took about 1 scoop of the powder and mixed it in milk and shook it for about 30 seconds in my shaker cup and all the powder was gone. This had such a rich creamy chocolate taste. I also tried it with non-fat Greek Yoghurt and had an excellent chocolate pudding taste. The calories were low with such a high protein content. The whey profile alone is good with 25g protein and low carb/fat at only 130 calories and add greek yoghurt at 80 calories with 15g protein makes it the perfect post workout snack. This will definitely be a favorite chocolate powder for me.

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
Taste: 10/10--THis is hands down the best chocolate protein Ive ever had. Its a very rich flavor, and doesn't come across as "artificial" but like a genuine chocolate confection. Its one of those flavors that really has to be tasted to be believed because so many proteins out there try and emulate a chocolate flavor and fall short, but this one succeeds on so many levels.
Mixability: 10/10-- Rarely give perfect scores out, but this is honestly the best mixing whey product I've used thus far. It has mixed flawlessly in oats, batters, sludge, whatever I throw at it. No clumping what so ever.
Ingredient Profile: 9/10-- Its got a solid amount of whey per serving and very few carbs/fats so those looking for a good whey complex will not be disappointed. Also doesn't have a bunch of filler/creamer additives like many companies are throwing in their products these days.
Cost: 7/10--It is a little pricey but then again you're getting a PREMIUM product. You get what you pay for so the reality is you're making a wise investment when you purchase this protein. I'd gladly put the extra money into this for the return is more than worth it.- Gender:

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
I use this product after working out and it tastes really good! I also blend it in with other fruits and sometimes with some baby spinach. I could drink this all day and I'm officially addicted to this flavor. And that's coming from a vanilla type of person! You must try this flavor. I've tried almost all their flavors and this is by far my favorite flavor to go too!

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
First and foremost, big thanks to Mike at Cellucor for letting me test this stuff out!
Let me tell you first off, I get sick of proteins powders VERY easily. I have to switch them up all the time, and typically have 3-4 different brands sitting on my counter at any given time because I got sick of the one sitting right next to it. While I still have 3-4 tubs of protein hanging out on my counter, what has changed is that they are ALL Cellucor's COR Whey!...and I didn't switch because I was sick of that flavor. Instead , the flavor I currently had was so good that I had to try another! This stuff is NOT your typical protein powder! It is seriously a dessert in a bottle that you'll be excited to drink day after day.
Taste: 10/10 I never give 10s to proteins powders for taste, but Cellucor hit the spot on their new line of proteins! This chocolate really is a great tasting chocolate protein! I know most companies have a "chocolate" flavor, but this stuff isn't just chocolate flavor…it's like chocolate cake ground into a powder! I typically mix in strawberries with this flavor, and it serves as an excellent back-bone flavor if you like to mix fruit and stuff in. I've also mixed it with peanut butter, which was also very good. I know a lot of people are even using this stuff to make chocolate flavored pancake batters and muffins that are WAY healthier than your standard pancake/muffin mix. I haven't tried that yet…but I emphasize "yet"!
Mixability: 8/10 It's really hard to find a protein that mixes "really well". This is definitely the best-mixing protein I've tried, but I'm still looking for the day when a protein powder will be mixed well in a glass with a spoon. That said, if you have a shaker bottle, you're all set! It mixes very well in any type of shaker, and doesn't have the typical clumps that most proteins develop as you're trying to gag it down. This stuff really is like a milkshake and you'll enjoy drinking every drop. I typically mix it 50/50 water and milk for my morning shot, and 100% with water after a workout. It tastes great both ways. I've found that if I use only milk, it is a little too thick for my liking.
Effectiveness: 10/10 You couldn't ask for more in a protein powder. Cellucor's COR Whey series has EVERYTHING you need in a protein, plus it is such a clean protein that it still mixes well and tastes great. I still try to eat as much protein as I can throughout the day from natural sources, but coupling eating well with Cellucor's protein has been pretty much my only source of amino acids…which are the building blocks of protein. If you're lacking on amino acids, you can't build proteins or muscles. I've definitely gained some lean mass since adding COR Whey to my daily regiment…but still, the best part about it is that you don't have to choke this stuff down in order to meet your fitness/health/dietary goals! It tastes so good that you actually enjoy supplementing with it!- Gender:

Comments about Cellucor® COR-Performance™ Series WHEY - Molten Chocolate:
This is an extremely good/quality protein. It has 130 calories per scoop, low fat, and high protein content. It consists of a protein blend which is great to use anytime during the day whether is be upon waking/preworkout/postworkout or before bed. Molten chocolate is a great flavor. It is not too powerful on the chocolate side and tastes like hot chocolate. The consistency is smooth and even great with water.

First gotta thank Mike and Gerge for this! Loved the COR:WHEY! Definitely a good overall taste, throw'd it in some Greek Yogurt for some Chocolate Protein Powder Pudding. Make some cookies and other baked goodies, definitely good baking protein!
Not too amazing on the stats on the Whey profile, meaning, nothing revolutionary when it comes to all the BCAAs and such...but I think Cellucor went for taste, NOT amazing protein stats!
Gonna buy me some 4LB tubs over my next bulk.- Gender:
