Tips for radiant skin
Simple Steps to Save Face: Main Image

A face cream with an SPF of 15 or higher should be a mandatory part of your beauty regimen

Your skin is the barometer of your health, and lifestyle choices literally make their mark on your face. No need to cover your face or panic. Just follow the commonsense guidelines below for skin preservation, and you'll be sure to radiate vitality and vigor.

Everyday skin care-keep it consistent

Create a consistent skin-care routine. Regular cleansing rids the skin of excess oils and dirt and sloughs off dead skin cells.

  • If you have dry skin, use a mild exfoliant with a heavier moisturizing cream that contains nut oils or aloe.
  • If your skin is oily, occasionally use an exfoliant with astringent properties and finish with a light, water-based moisturizer. Tea tree and citrus oils help tone skin between washings.
  • If you battle with problem skin, avoid using harsh exfoliants on breakouts. Instead, apply a deep-cleansing mask and a moisturizer with antibacterial ingredients such as tea tree oil and lavender.

Cover up-almost

Let the sun shine, but choose your exposure carefully.

  • A face cream with a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or higher should be a mandatory part of your beauty regimen. Look for a cream that matches your skin type and wear it even on cloudy days.
  • Your body does, however, need some sun exposure, as the UV rays from sunlight trigger vitamin D synthesis in the skin. A 20-minute walk or bask in the early morning or late afternoon sun should suffice; you might prefer to wear a hat and let your arms and legs get the rays.

Let it glow

You are what you eat and drink and breathe, so consider this:

  • A healthy diet full of antioxidants A, C, and E helps fend off free radicals from everyday exposure to air pollutants, sun, and stress. Foods rich in vitamin A and vitamin C include brightly colored fruits and vegetables, such as squashes, sweet potatoes, carrots, leafy greens, tomatoes, strawberries, and kiwi. Vitamin E is found in a variety of nuts and their oils and wheat germ.
  • Exercise increases circulation, which helps nourish collagen fibers that give skin its appearance of plumpness, while perspiration from your workout cleanses the skin.
  • Water hydrates the skin from the inside out, so practice drinking enough water that you rarely get thirsty.
  • Avoid smoking and breathing secondhand smoke, which causes blood vessels to constrict, inhibiting blood flow and starving the skin of oxygen.

I have very dry aging skin. I am 71 years old and don't drink enough water which has affected my skin.I have tried every known moisturizing cream and paid thousands of dollarls over the years. This is the best that I have ever used. My skins looks fresh and dewy without looking greasy or too dry. Excellent product. Finally!

Comments about ROCK CREEK PHARMACEUTICAL Anatabloc® Rare Cellular Facial Creme:

A long story; I will try to condense it.

I began taking SYSTEMIC Anatabloc (the pills) when it first came out, for other reasons (truly incredible results on so many things).

I had had facial rosacea for several years and it was getting worse and worse, to the point of obviously threatening disfigurement (nose and even eyelids).

When systemic (the tablets) Anatabloc first came out, I started on a relatively low dose (two a day) and got a lot of relief for a whole spectrum of things. However, the rosacea was still getting worse (perhaps more slowly, but one can't tell).

That made me presume it wouldn't help rosacea. Yet, research that I did into the matter indicated it may do so (this was still before any anatabine "topical", the cream, had come out).

So then I increased the dose of the pills (3 - 4 a day) and sure enough, in a few weeks I saw improvement. Apparently the effect on rosacea is dose dependent, and it takes time for an effect to take place from within, probably because the "skin" we see is actually dead cells that have to be replaced over time, and the skin seems to be "the last place" that circulating compounds reach.

Over a period of about 6 months, then, systemic (pills) Anatabloc "knocked back" the rosacea by about 80%, and I was so pleased, even though there were still (very much smaller) annoying problem areas. A car wreck that's only 20% as bad as another one isn't so bad after all : )

Still, progressing with age, the "20%" that was left started getting more problematic, particularly because it started, frighteningly, encroaching on an eyelid. And too there was the constant "pinpoint itching" and burning, and problems especially where my glasses rest on my nose (MISERABLE!).

When the cream came out it took me a while, but I finally was convinced I'd better try some. My face convinced me.

THE CAPS ARE DESERVED: I WAS AMAZED!

Within a week, with 1 - 2 VERY LIGHT (in amount) daily applications of the cream ("massaged in") on the usual "rosacea pattern" areas of my face, there was HUGE improvement. They say to avoid eyes, but I had to do the perimeter of an eyelid, very carefully, and had no problem (but this being winter, I did not "sweat it into" my eyes, so caution).

Within three weeks the improvement was at least 75% (note, this relative to the "better state" I was in, thanks to the pills).

By the end of a month I was down to very light sporadic applications, and the improvement was more than 90%. Now, 4 months after starting using the cream, it is not at all evident in the treated areas that I have rosacea at all.

I can wash my face without it turning the color of a red-ripe peach (the treated areas). The coloration is much subdued from provocation such as washing. I have no highly-visible bumps, no oozy blisters, no "pimples", etc. What were the worst bumps are now normal skin colored and just barely perceptible. I could not have expected more.

Now, at four months out, I let my face tell me when I need to apply the cream (still take the pills, of course). As soon as I feel a hint of the itch or burn, I apply a very light coat of the cream twice, at 12 hour intervals ... about every week. I STILL am using my first jar, but did apply very conservatively, and did have the help of systemic Anatabloc too.

In summary, note again that this result was for very aggressive early-stage rosacea. Note in particular that I attacked it "from both sides", taking the Anatabloc supplement tablets (3 - 4 a day) PLUS the facial cream to complete the now not-so-"rosey" picture. I very highly recommend that approach, because my very considerable success with the pills alone indicates how much good systemic Anatabloc can do (not certain for everyone, but likely I'd say) to help in your "battle". Plus, if you nave ANY other problems of aging it is quite likely you will benefit from the tablets there too.

Finally I'll add this: Anatabloc is so good I am concerned that some will think it a "cure" for this or that. It is an AID, not a cure. It helps your own body control its inflammatory response to problems, keeping it from getting out of hand, but Anatabloc does not, as far as I know, eliminate any of the "problems". For example, your newer car's ABS braking system helps you control your braking in an emergency situation, but doesn't eliminate "the situation".

If, for example, you clear your rosacea with Anatabloc and then take your uncovered, unprotected face to the beach ... or just to "the porch" ... you are going to pay.

People who've had a car wreck that they caused are usually more cautious afterward. If your face is a car wreck and Anatabloc helps it or clears it up, don't speed off to the beach ... or the front porch. The best approach is to use Anatabloc and caution, and, whatever the malady that Anatabloc helped (allergies, arthritis, Crohn's and other IBD's, etc.), avoid the behavior (if any) that helped "get you there".

Also (Yeah you hate to hear it, but) diet and exercise are equally important in your "whole body" treatment.

Rosacea is a sign of sun-damaged skin. Don't learn the hard way that every hour of further exposure makes it worse, treatment or no.

Researchers are in the midst of clinical trials of Anatabloc Cream for rosacea as I write, but if you can't stand the look, or the worry, or the annoyance of the burning and itching, don't wait. It's certainly worth a try!

Comments about ROCK CREEK PHARMACEUTICAL Anatabloc® Rare Cellular Facial Creme:

I had a very bad case of rosacea. The skin on my face was very red and swollen, with pimples on both cheeks. After using this product for 1 week all the pimples were gone and the redness was reduced. After 1 month the Rosacea was 95% gone. Don't waste your money on the gentle soaps and oral antibiotics. Anatabloc skin cream is the only thing that worked for me. Unfortunately if you stop using the cream the Rosacea will come back within days. The cream goes on very thin so one jar lasts me 3 months. If you have Rosacea or some type of Dermatitis you will love this product.

Great Stuff. An anti-inflammatory cream, seemingly. Made my sunburn go away in a day. Also, has been great for "razor burn" (Yes, I am a guy) My 18 year old daughter used it for her acne, and then stole my jar. It's a great product. Expensive, but worth the price.
