Guarana
Guarana- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Comments about GNC Herbal Plus Standardized® Guarana:
I like the product. I take 1-2 pills a day, usually before my cardio session, so it gives me energy. I have very low blood pressure, so something has to boost me energy level. Green tea extract didn't work for me, I felt so nauseous and dizzy. So the best option is Guarana! Really love it! But I notice that you have to cycle taking the supplement, cause with time it loses it effectiveness.

Comments about GNC Herbal Plus Standardized® Guarana:
I used to use back in Brazil, in a powder way (it's from a Brazilian berry, guarana, native from Amazon forest), and we have sodas made of it too (similar taste of Ginger Ale). It's very powerful, wake you up when it's necessary, and keeps your mood up. Very good product.

Comments about GNC Herbal Plus Standardized® Guarana:
I used to be a big fan of GNC's Energy Formula. When that product was discontinued, I tried Guarana, which was one of the ingredients in Energy Formula. I've tried other forms of Guarana but this is the best.
I typically take one capsule of Guarana with one capsule of NOW brand Super Cortisol Support. This is a very good combo that provides long lasting energy and is a real life saver on days when I haven't had enough sleep. This happens rather often with two young children in the house.
GNC's Guarana is an excellent product and I'm happy to recommend it.Pros

Comments about GNC Herbal Plus Standardized® Guarana:
Because of the active chemicals,in particular theophylline and theobromine, guarana increases physical/athletic and mental performance. That's why you see it as an ingredient in many performance enhancing and energizing sports' supplements. The enhancing effects are due to the aforementioned chemicals' vasodilative and bronchodilator properties.
I take four capsules a day twice a day.The effects of the guarana become noticeably weaker the longer you use it.It should be cycled, something like two weeks on,one week off.Pros

Comments about GNC Herbal Plus Standardized® Guarana:
Sometimes when I need a little caffeine to get me through, one little pill doesn't make me jittery like coffee and lasts all eight hours of my work shift! And I don't crash at the end like with coffee or soda. Terrific supplement!
