THE BIGGER PICTURE OF EGG PROTEIN
Nutritionists commonly refer to eggs as the "gold standard" for protein quality because they're very easily digested and contain generous amounts of all eight essential amino acids. Eggs are naturally free of lactose, so they're also much more "forgiving" to athletes who have trouble with diary foods or milk-based protein powders. Our Gold Standard 100% Eggs takes the benefits a step further by virtually eliminating the fat and cholesterol found in whole eggs. Each scoop of Gold Standard 100% Egg packs as much protein as seven egg whites with just 2 grams of carbs. By making this stuff INSTANTIZED to mix-up easily too, we may have elevated our egg to "platinum" status.
BEYOND THIS BASIC- 24 grams of Egg White Protein per serving
- Very High Biological Value (BV)
- Non-Dairy, No Lactose
- Contains Aminogen® digestive enzyme system to enhance utilization
- Over 5 grams of BCAAs (Leucine, Isoleucine, and Valine)
- Loaded with all 8 Essential Amino Acids
- 0 grams of sugar so it's great for contest and low-carb dieting
- INSTANTIZED to mix easily with a spoon

SPOON STIRRED: Gold Standard 100% Egg is INSTANTIZED. That means if you forget your shaker cup or don't have time to get out the blender, you can just add one heaping scoop of Gold Standard 100% Egg to a glass filled with 6-8 oz of cold water, milk, or your favorite beverage. Then mix it up with a spoon for about 30 seconds or until powder is completely dissolved.
SHAKER: Bringing a shaker cup with you to the gym is the best way to get a powerful dose of protein immediately after your workout. Just add one heaping scoop of Gold Standard 100% Egg to your shaker cup and then pour 6-8 oz of your preferred beverage. Cover and shake for 25-30 seconds.
BLENDER: Add one heaping scoop of Gold Standard 100% Egg to a blender filled with 6-8 oz of water, milk, or your favorite beverage. Blend for 15-20 seconds. Then add 3-4 ice cubes and blend for an additional 20 seconds. SHAKE UP YOUR SHAKE: By adding a few high-energy ingredients to your shake you can blend up a delicious meal: try adding fresh bananas, peanut butter, flaxseed oil, coconut, slivered almonds, or other ingredients. STACK YOUR SHAKE: By adding supplements like Micronized Creatine, Glutamine, Taurine, and/or INSTANTIZED BCAA powders, you can make Gold Standard 100% Egg an even more powerful post-workout recovery product.
SUGGESTED USE: Consume approximately 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day through a combination of high protein foods and supplements. For best results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day.

Rice Protein
Rice Protein- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.
This supplement has been used in connection with the following health conditions:
Used for Amount Why AtherosclerosisRefer to label instructions
[1 star] Though not yet proven in clinical research, animal studies suggest that rice protein-based diets result in less buildup of atherosclerotic plaque compared with animal protein-based diets.
Athletic PerformanceRefer to label instructions
[1 star] Some athletes believe rice protein may also improve blood flow to muscle to enhance growth and repair. However, no research has investigated the effects of rice protein on athletic performance.
ObesityRefer to label instructions
[1 star] Dieters who are gluten or dairy sensitive and looking to supplement protein might consider rice protein, though its actual benefits for weight loss have not been studied.
Rice protein is extracted from rice and used in some protein supplements. Vegetarians may prefer it over protein supplements made from animal sources (such as whey or casein, which are milk proteins). Since rice is rarely involved in food allergies,1 rice protein may also be preferred by people with food allergies, and may be suitable to use in hypoallergenic infant formulas.2 Rice protein is not a complete protein, however, due to insufficient levels of the amino acids lysine and threonine.3, 4 Therefore, these amino acids are often added to rice protein products to correct this imbalance.

Comments about Optimum Nutrition 100% Egg Protein - Vanilla:
I began taking egg protein due to whey giving me acne. Taste isn't the best, but it's bearable. I tried this and the GNC egg isolate. The egg isolate tasted better but was more pricy. This is packed with amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins. Mix this with a soy isolate and you're set! Definitely recommend!

Comments about Optimum Nutrition 100% Egg Protein - Vanilla:
Good Protein, loaded with Amino Acids. I started taking Egg Protein to replace it with Whey due to increased acne, and I tried this and the GNC Egg Protein. The GNC Egg tasted better but this is cheaper and a better value play. Doesn't taste too good, but that's not the reason I took this. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Comments about Optimum Nutrition 100% Egg Protein - Vanilla:
I haven't tried other egg proteins to compare to - they are VERY Pricey! This was the least expensive.
I tried this to add in, and to use to boost protein in recipes. For that I find it ok.Displaying reviews 1-5
