Brew Well to be Well™
For maximum benefit, medicinal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a ceramic cup. Cover cup and steep 10-15 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release any remaining extract. Drink 4 to 6 cups daily or as needed. To maximize the coating action of the herbs, gargle before swallowing. To enhance benefits, add honey, especially in dry climates.
For an extra strength brew, use two teabags or brew up a whole pot using four or five teabags.
Warning: As with any herbal supplement, do not use during pregnancy or lactation without the advice of a practitioner trained in medicinal herbalism. Manufactured by:

Common Cold/Sore Throat
Common Cold/Sore Throat- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

A note about children's cold medicine:
Concerns in the news about the safety of cough and cold medicines have left many parents confused about the safest ways to treat their children's cold symptoms. At a hearing, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) concluded that, until more research shows safety and efficacy, these medicines should not be given to children under two years old unless instructed by a healthcare provider. For parents who may want to continue giving over-the-counter cold medicines to their children, the FDA has the following recommendations:
- Read all of the information in the "Drug Facts" box on the product label.
- Do not give children medicine more often or in greater amounts than what is listed on the product label and use only as directed.
- Do not give children medication that is intended for adult use.
- Be aware that using various cough and cold medicines in combination may pose health risks; parents should ask a doctor whether or not it is safe to use products in combination.
- Use appropriate measuring devices; parents should contact their doctor or pharmacist if they do not understand the dosing directions.

Comments about Traditional Medicinals® Throat Coat:
I am a singer & I also suffer from allergies, especially post nasal drip which tends to dry & irritate my throat. I was introduced to Throat Coat tea by another singer & it was amazing! After a few sips, my throat felt relaxed & soothed. I drink a cup just before I have to sing & I instantly sing better. No more coughing or clearing my throat during a performance or rehearsal. I highly recommend it to anyone who sings.

Comments about Traditional Medicinals® Throat Coat:
I stock up on this product when I know I'm going into long multi-day practices and performances. Nothing soothes my throat like this product, not only does it sooth, but it also allows me to actually sing when I need some rehab after a couple days. I drink it 30-45 minutes before a performance or practice and it helps every time! I love it!

Comments about Traditional Medicinals® Throat Coat:
This is my magic 'make me sing' juice. When my voice goes and it's not a good time for that to be happening, stirct vocal rest only gets you so far, and that's not guaranteeing getting better just not worse. There's been times that I've woken up with barely a speaking voice, forget singing, and I'll drink about 5 glasses of this in a day before an audition, and not only was I able to sing but had an amazing audition. I would recommend this to everyone ESPECIALLY singers. Just add a bit of honey to enhance the taste and benefits :)
