Health Notes

Green Tea

Green Tea
Common names:
Epigallocatechin Gallate
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Parts Used & Where Grown

All teas (green, black, and oolong) are derived from the same plant, Camellia sinensis. The difference is in how the plucked leaves are prepared. Green tea, unlike black and oolong tea, is not fermented, so the active constituents remain unaltered in the herb. The leaves of the tea plant are used both as a social and a medicinal beverage.

Comments about LACI LEBEAU Laci Le Beau® Super Dieter's Tea® - Lemon Mint:

This particular flavor is the only one I've tried of the Laci Le Beau teas and its so delicious. I'm not a hot tea drinker but this is definitely pleasant to have daily. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because I suffer from chronic constipation(since childhood, regardless of diet and fiber intake)I had to steep 2 bags at a time (in the amount of water for 1 cup)to get the desired effect. By no means did I get diahrrea or cramps though, I just took a chance of doubling the dose when the recommended dose didn't work. Should work as stated for most people. Over the years I've tried many products and this by far is the simplest, tastiest, less costly and effective cleanse I've ever come across. BTW- I am using it every other day as opposed to daily unless I've eaten a huge meal and feel uncomfortable.
