  • Complete Detox Formula

Today's modern diets often include many high-calorie processed foods that offer sparse amounts of dietary fiber or nutritional value. Also, as environmental pollution increases, there is a growing concern that many of our food sources may be affected with unwanted chemicals and substances such as pesticides and hormones.

Preventive Nutrition® Complete Body Cleansing Program is a 2-day formula that features proprietary blends of herbs, fruits and vegetables. Each serving provides the healthy cleansing benefits from 5 grams of all natural premium fiber. Fiber is a necessary component of everyone's diet. Among the many health benefits of fiber, it is most commonly recognized for its ability to aid in the digestion process. Fiber plays a critical role in the intestinal transit time, it serves as a bulking agent and also provides relief from occasional constipation. This specially formulated blend features multiple fibers that promote and support daily digestive health.

Following the completion of this 2-day program, you should select non-processed food such as organic fruits and vegetables, lean meats and high fiber grains. Limit your consumption of processed meats, canned foods and convenience items.

Health Notes

Digestive Enzymes

Digestive Enzymes
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

This supplement has been used in connection with the following health conditions:

Used for AmountWhy
Low Back Pain

(Trypsin, Chymotrypsin)
4 to 8 tablets a day of proteolytic enzymes containing trypsin and chymotrypsin, and/or bromelain3 stars[3 stars] Supplementing with a combination of the enzymes trypsin and chymotrypsin may improve low back pain.

Pancreatic Insufficiency
Consult a qualified medical practitioner3 stars[3 stars] Digestive enzymes are the mainstay of pancreatic insufficiency treatment and have been shown to reduce pain and steatorrhea associated with pancreatitis.
Sprains and Strains

(Proteolytic Enzymes)
4 to 8 tablets a day of proteolytic enzymes containing trypsin, chymotrypsin, and/or bromelain3 stars[3 stars] Proteolytic enzymes, including bromelain, may be helpful in healing sprains and strains because they are anti-inflammatory and appear to promote tissue healing.
Celiac Disease
Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner2 stars[2 stars] Some evidence suggests that enzyme supplements may be useful at the beginning of dietary treatment for this disease.
Indigestion, Heartburn, and Low Stomach Acidity
Consult a qualified healthcare practitioner2 stars[2 stars] Lipase, a pancreatic enzyme, aids in the digestion of fats and may improve digestion in some people.
Osteoarthritis
90 mg of bromelain and 48 mg of trypsin, with 100 mg of rutosid, taken in enteric-coated pills three times per day2 stars[2 stars] In one study, people with painful osteoarthritis of the knee who received an oral enzyme-flavonoid preparation saw more improvement in pain and joint function than those who took a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID).
Tendinitis
Several tablets per day of proteolytic enzymes2 stars[2 stars] Supplementing with digestive enzymes may reduce the severity of symptoms and speed healing.
Acne Rosacea
Refer to label instructions 1 star[1 star] Digestive enzymes have been reported anecdotally to improve rosacea symptoms.
Allergies and Sensitivities and Food Allergies
Refer to label instructions 1 star[1 star] Proteolytic enzymes may theoretically reduce allergy symptoms by breaking down undigested protein to sizes that are too small to cause allergic reactions.
Chronic Candidiasis
Refer to label instructions 1 star[1 star] Digestive enzymes inhibit the overgrowth of candida and prevent it from becoming established in the small intestine.
Crohn's Disease
Refer to label instructions 1 star[1 star] Supplementing with enzymes might improve the nutrient malabsorption that is often associated with Crohn's disease.
Low Back Pain
Refer to label instructions 1 star[1 star] Several trials have reported reduced pain and swelling, and/or faster healing in people with a variety of conditions who use papain.

Digestive enzymes are complex proteins involved in digestion that stimulate chemical changes in other substances. They work optimally at specific temperature and pH. Digestive enzymes include pancreatic enzymes, plant-derived enzymes, and fungal-derived enzymes. There are three classes of digestive enzymes: proteolytic enzymes needed to digest protein, lipases needed to digest fat, and amylases needed to digest carbohydrates.

This does not work...I am a very healthy person trying to cleanse after spring break, and eating foods I don't normally eat. I had no side affects, and absolutely no results...it's as if I did not take a cleanse at all...do not waste your money!!!

Comments about GNC Preventive Nutrition® Complete Body Cleansing Program:

I bought this product instead of the seven day cleanse, due to the ridiculous number of pills that the 7 day required taking. I bought three of these, one for my mom, husband and me because we all wanted to jump start our diet/exercise. My husband and I tried it this weekend. I personally did not see any results, except some extra gas. My husband, however, had a few extra BM.

I think it taste pretty good. tried it in orange juice at first, but that seemed much grosser than just with water.

Overall, I think this produce could have worked better. I would still choose this over the pill version for sure though. This product wasn't horrible, but it could have had better results.

This product worked for me! At first I felt a bit bloaty, but once it was in my system it worked as I intended. I'm not sure why so many people say it doesn't work. All I ate was vegetables and a very healthy and light diet, and all I drank was water. I even did some exercising. I feel like I have much more energy and feel better in general. I would definitely buy this product again!

I did the research and was actually going to purchase another product when the GNC rep suggested this. First time using anything like this so I wasn't expecting much. When I opened the bottle and started pouring I immediately frowned at the sight, but I mixed it with water as directed and thought - "Well here goes nothin'" - surprisingly to me, it tasted just like pineapple juice. I ate along with it - snacked on fruit and nuts during the day and then ate a healthy dinner (salad, lean meats, homemade soups). Stepped on the scale after my two days were up - thought if I lose 2lbs I'll be happy. I lost 8! 8lbs in two days! I felt more energized and less foggy in the brain. It was a great kickstart to my diet as mentally it now makes me not want to put anything in my body that will undo what I just did. I would recommend this product, (already have to at least 4 people) and use it again! Good Stuff!

Comments about GNC Preventive Nutrition® Complete Body Cleansing Program:

I really wanted a cleansing product that worked so I read up on the reviews for the complete body cleasning 2 day program. I had about 50/50 reviews with it being good and bad. To start off I have a chronic intesitinal issue that makes me consipated easily. I won't poop for 3 days sometimes (and I should be). I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and everything is whole grain. I do like cheese and I hear that backs you up but I dont eat enough for that to happen. I only eat good fats too and try not to consume too much CHO's. I also try and get protein in every meal. I do need to drink more water though. I hadnt pooped in 3 days so I figured I'd try the cleanse. First, it taste disgusting I literally was choking it down (slowly as directed). Second, all I did was pee which I guess is a form of cleasning but I could do that by just drinking more water. It didn't make me go poop at all though. I only ate fruits and vegetables and had soup. I took it like it was directed the first day and I continued it the second day but buy 4 o'clock I still found no results so the rest of the second day I stopped. I also drank a ton of water throughout the day. Maybe it's because of my chronic issue but I was sad to not see results.

I should add I work at GNC.

The store manager in Niskayuna pushed me hard on this and said I could lose up to 10lbs. I strayed from my high protein, low cab and saturated fat regimen and wennt on this plan. I picked up 9 lbs in 5 days and ate hardly anything. Further research shows if you eat properly and drink lots of water your liver cleans everything. Now I need to lose 9 lbs. I am not a happy customer.

I bought this (despite all of the negative reviews) thinking it would flush my system and help me some constipation. Boy, was I wrong. This was the BIGGEST waste of money. It tastes horrible, and it doesn't work. In fact, I had OPPOSTITE results of what it promised. I am actually MORE constipated now that I've used it. I even took a laxative on the evening of the last dose to help alleviate some of the bloating and pain, and that hasn't even helped. It's like I'm completely plugged because of this junk. I want my money back!!
