What is 24-Hour Protein Complex?
Pro Performance® 24-Hour Protein Complex is a scientifically designed formula that provides a matrix of fast, medium and slow acting proteins. When taken as directed, this sophisticated blend of whey, soy and casein plays a pivotal role in providing a continuous supply of key amino acids over 24 hours*
How does it work?
Protein serves as a dietary source of amino acids. The body needs amino acids to build the various proteins used in the growth, repair and maintenance of body tissues such as skin, bones and muscles. The amino acids and peptides from whey and soy proteins move quickly through the digestive system. The consumption of these proteins will result in a rapid rise in blood amino acids and stimulate protein synthesis. The amino acids from casein, however, increase blood amino acids at a much slower and steadier rate. This slower, steadier rate of amino acids can help to significantly decrease protein breakdown. Each serving supplies 20 grams of protein that naturally provides a continuous supply of key amino acids such as arginine, which is involved in creatine formulation, branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and glutamine. BCAA help to fuel your skeletal muscles, preserve muscle glycogen stores and reduce the amount of protein breakdown. BCAA Supplementation may have anti-catabolic properties and protein-sparing effects. Glutamine plays an important role in muscle function during and after exercise. 24-Hour Protein Complex is also enhanced with HMB which plays a role in supporting muscle health during exercise.
