To Support & Promote:
- May Aid Insulin Function
- May Promote Healhy Glucose Levels
- Optimizes Weight Levels

Sugar Balance by GSL combines herbs and nutritional supplements to increase the release of insulin from the pancreas and increase the number of insulin receptors, thus increasing insulin sensitivity. Its main ingredient is bitter melon extract, which contains an insulin-like protein called Polypeptide-P. Ingesting the plant or an extract form of the plant seems to work on both the pancreas and non-pancreatic cells to help decrease blood glucose levels. Clinical trials and lab reports show the health benefits of Bitter Melon.

Type 1 Diabetes
Type 1 Diabetes- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Diabetes mellitus is an inability to metabolize carbohydrates resulting from inadequate insulin production or utilization. Other forms of diabetes (such as diabetes insipidus) are not included in this discussion.
There are two types of diabetes mellitus, type 1 and type 2. This article concerns type 1 diabetes, which has also been called childhood-onset diabetes or insulin-dependent diabetes. In type 1 diabetes, the pancreas cannot make the insulin needed to process glucose. Natural therapies cannot cure type 1 diabetes, but they may help by making the body more receptive to insulin supplied by injection. It is particularly critical for people with type 1 diabetes to work carefully with the doctor prescribing insulin before contemplating the use of any herbs, supplements, or dietary changes mentioned in this article. Any change that makes the body more receptive to insulin could require critical changes in insulin dosage that must be determined by the treating physician.
People with diabetes cannot properly process glucose, a sugar the body uses for energy. As a result, glucose stays in the blood, causing blood glucose to rise. At the same time, however, the cells of the body can be starved for glucose. People with diabetes are at high risk for heart disease, atherosclerosis, cataracts, retinopathy, stroke, poor wound healing, infections, and damage to the kidneys and nerves.

Comments about GSL TECHNOLOGY 1009103 GSL Sugar Balance™:
I consistently have blood sugar levels in the high hundreds. With medication, at over $500 a month, my sugar levels average in the high nineties to low hundreds (93 - 115). I was looking for something the might help my sugar levels in lieu of the offensively expensive medication. After 4 weeks with Sugar Balance, two weeks using it without my medication, two weeks using it with my medication, this product served no purpose what so ever. Using Sugar Balance without my medication, my sugar levels hovered in the low two hundreds (217 - 239). Using Sugar Balance with my medication (which really wasn't necessary), my sugar levels averaged in the high hundreds (170 - 186). I really everybody is different, but this product has no useful purpose. I don't know whose writing those other reviews, but somebody is lying.

Comments about GSL TECHNOLOGY 1009103 GSL Sugar Balance™:
Let me start by saying that every one's body is different. I am a 60 year type 2 diabetic. I exercise at least 5 days a week, 3 of those days is with a trainer. I'm coming up on 1 year working with Frank, and I'm in pretty good shape. I ran out of this product and after 4 days my glucose level went up on a consistent basis by about 30 points. Started it back, and it went down. What more can I say, it works for me.

Comments about GSL TECHNOLOGY 1009103 GSL Sugar Balance™:
Sugar Balance has the right ingredients that gets effective results. Bitter Melon is used in eastern cultures to treat diabetic sugar levels.
I found this out at the Nee How and NIPA Hut Oriental food stores in the Cleveland area.
Each tablet containst 200 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid. Dr. Oz has recommended 400 mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid a day to control blood sugar. So, you
need two tablets a day to get that Alpha Lipoic Acid requirement. Dr. Oz does not endorse this GNC product, but it certainly gives you a holistic approach to your diabetes concerns.
I take two tablets after a meal with higher carbs.
My AC1 level was 6.7 and I got it down to 5.8.
I was close to going on insulin. The Cleveland Clinic told me to get my carbs down to 30 a meal.
I strive for a 20+ carb zone a meal or less.
I said good bye to white potatoes, white bread, potato chips, ice cream, cereal, fruit, corn and side dishes in the pouch. No more pancakes, pizza, pasta, pastry, breaded chicken and fish. All of these have white flour.
I eat unbreaded fish, chicken and I have shiratake noodles for pasta. I eat a lot of bagged cole slaw, veggies, salads and watch the sugar content on my salad dressings. I will have small grape tomatoes on my salads. I have protein
at every meal. I use stevia for a sweetner. I eat the plain Greek yogurt in the blue and white cup.
My favorite snacks are air popped pop corn and sugar free jello in the pudding cups. You can make a low carb ice cream treat with the Zuko ice cream maker. I eat only 1/2 tub of Lean Cuisine frozen veggie lasagna. That is 22 carbs. I also joined Weight Watchers and lost 50 pounds. Also, substitute cauliflower for mashed potatoes and pancakes. Watch the Hungry Girl food show and read her books for getting the carbs down.
Both my liver doctor and primary care physician are pleased with my sugar results. Both of them are aware that I take Sugar Balance plus my other supplements. My primary care physian's mother grows bitter melon. Her family is from the Phillippines.
Today is Christmas and I had some small pieces of pastry and I downed 3 Sugar Balance tabletes afterward. I had no sugar spikes, shakes, or dizziness today.
I do not treat Sugar Balance as a green light to eat all kinds of high carb sugary foods. I treat Sugar Balance as a helpful and necessary addition to my diet. This supplement will be a daily permanent change in my diet. Thanks to strict diet changes and Sugar Balance, I beat the monsterous killer of diabetes. Thanks.Pros

Comments about GSL TECHNOLOGY 1009103 GSL Sugar Balance™:
This is a follow-up to my first posting. My glucose reading for the past 3 years has been between 104 and 107. I have been using this product for 6 months now, taking one pill at every meal. I just got the results of a recent blood test and was elated to see that my glucose level had dropped to 99! Now I am in the normal range again. This is a product that will be a permanent part of my daily routine from now on.

Comments about GSL TECHNOLOGY 1009103 GSL Sugar Balance™:
I just purchased this yesterday and started taking it today. I can honestly say that I felt a change within 1 hour of taking it. I have a lot of energy and just an overall feeling of wellness. I know my body and this product definitely has an effect on it in a positive way! I started this because I have normal levels except for a slightly high glucose reading while getting the fasting bloodwork test. I hope to use this to help lower it slightly to a normal level and to help maintain that in the future and to prevent complications from high glucose. I would highly recommend this to anyone. I'll post my results of my next bloodwork exam and how this affects it.
