Apply to clean skin. Spray directly onto sponge applicator, brush over desired body areas with lighterstrokes around hairlines, knees, elbows and ankles. You’ll get an instant tan, which serves as a guide for even application and will darken considerably in 3-5 hours. Allow 30 minutes to dry before direct contact with clothes or water. Re-apply for a deeper tan. In the morning, shower off the excess color, allowing the natural tan to show.
Tanning Tips: Prior to application; wash entire body with GET BUFFED Pre-Tan Scrub for maximum darkness. Apply HEALTHY SKIN Moisturizing Lotion over knuckles, elbows, wrists and knees to avoid excessive tanning, use hair dryer over body between applications, and avoid getting on the palm of your hands.
Warning: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. This product does not contain a sunscreen and does not protect against sunburn. I thought that because this was a pump, I could sort of just spray it on myself and be done (sort of like the aerosol self tanners). Well, it was not that easy.
When you spray, it goes EVERYWHERE, including walls, the floor, anything within a few feet of where you are standing!
If you do not quickly rub it in, you will get splotchy spots on your skin, which is more embarrasing than untanned skin.
I read that someone applied thia product with gloves and that person was smart ... well, smarter than me! I did not use gloves and had the embarrasing orange hands. I stood at my sink with nail polish remover and pumice soaps to try to scrub most of it off.
I thought the paint brush was a cute touch, I didn't realize it was an essential to apply this stuff.
I also put this stuff on before bed and after a shower. My white pajama top had a film from the tanner rubbing off on it and so did my sheets. At least everything was white, so I was able to bleach it out.
This is not an easy product to work with. If you are new to self tanning products, do yourself a favor and start with the aerosol ones and work your way up to this product.Pros

I've tried tons of self tanners. This is by far the best one. Looks great in the sunlight. I use the sponge for my feet and hands. I use gloves for the rest of my body. Tan looks good for at least 3 days.

I hear competitive body builders use this. It must be their secret. It's an instant tan. I use this when i don't want to get burned trying to tan in the sun (you'll have to use sunscreen too). It is now my way of life. love it. Use as directed and you can't go wrong. I get extra spounges at the craft store.
