The two most common forms of whey powder are "isolates" and "concentrates" and the type you choose makes the difference between an average supplement and superior one. Those in the industry understand that isolates are the superior protein. Whey concentrates contain less protein and more ingredients that are not desirable, like lactose and fat. The cleaner profile in isolates are more conductive for adding muscle and losing weight. Now all isolates are the same. Please take heed to other isolates on the market loaded with artificial sweeteners, such as sucrolose.

Whey Protein
Whey Protein- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Comments about SDC Nutrition About Time- Mocha Mint:
I use the "about time" protein shakes 1-2 times a day typically between meals. It is great for those avoiding gluten, soy, sugar, and all artificial sweeteners. The greatest thing is it is sweetened with Stevia and tastes great. The Mocha Mint tastes just like the cold bottled starbucks mint mocha drinks they make seasonally near December. I use this while on the hcg diet and it fits into the allowable calories and no artificail sweeteners. The best part is the taste, it is surely a treat!
I really hope GNC starts selling this in stores. If samples are offered I'm sure many people will buy it!Pros

Comments about SDC Nutrition About Time- Mocha Mint:
I believe that these SDC protein powders ARE effective... I have definitely seen a reduction in recovery time since trying them. However...their taste is terrible. I bought a bunch of samples of these and this is the best tasting so far. I also have the ON chocolate mint and this pales in comparrison on taste. I did use this with the recommended 8oz of water... and it tasted extremely watered down. Not bad... but watery. With the ON and 8oz of water... I didnt get that watery consistency. Maybe this would be better with half the water. This is definitely better than the cinnamon and the cake batter flavor though.

Comments about SDC Nutrition About Time- Mocha Mint:
I like the Mocha mint, but after drinking it every day the flavor gets a little old. Sometimes I add Starbucks Via to it and it tastes pretty good. It's not as versatile as getting a chocolate or vanilla. Nice to try though.
