The two most common forms of whey powder are "isolates" and "concentrates" and the type you choose makes the difference between an average supplement and superior one. Those in the industry understand that isolates are the superior protein. Whey concentrates contain less protein and more ingredients that are not desirable, like lactose and fat. The cleaner profile in isolates are more conductive for adding muscle and losing weight. Now all isolates are the same. Please take heed to other isolates on the market loaded with artificial sweeteners, such as sucrolose.

Whey Protein
Whey Protein- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

Comments about SDC Nutrition About Time-Cinnamon Swirl:
Too many protein supplements are loaded with aspartame and other artificial sweeteners that are low calorie but may be extremely bad for your long term health. About Time whey protein uses stevia, a natural and zero calorie sweetener. In my opinion it tastes better and studies have shown no negative health side effects. If you are serious about improving athletic performance and overall health than artificial sweeteners should be cut out of your diet. The fact that GNC, a health and nutrition brand, promotes and sells these products is a little disheartening, but what to do? On a side note all Whey proteins tend to cause stomach cramps and gas in the vast majority of users. If this bothers you take a look at a plant or meat based protein blend. Egg proteins and hemp proteins, although expensive, have amazing results without the stomach spinning.
