i wouldn't say this is THE best post workout protein shake to use but taking at least two will do the job better than the most expensive post workout mix available. with the sale going on, it's a much better buy
with that said, i dont think there's any other flavor that would beat this in terms of RTDs.
i took off one star because there's so much foam when you're trying to "shake well before drinking"Pros

I started working out 2-3 days/week since Nov., 2011 and have been trying protein shakes for supplement. So, far this is the 3rd one I have tried from GNC. I do 30 min. cardio followed by a 1hr workout each day.
The first one I tried was the GNC Pro AMP 60 which gave me great recovery from workouts but bad side effects (stomach). Then I switched to PROMASIL by RIVALUS (read my other reviews from these products) which did not give me the recovery I needed and also gave some bad side effects.
This product was then recommended by the store sales rep because it is Lactose free and gives 25g of Protein - enough for daily supplement. Although the product taste great and did not give any stomach pains or other side effects, my recovery was not as good as the AMP 60. I still felt some soreness after a day and my energy was down during my next workouts. It probably reduces recovery time but not as fast as I needed.
You must drink one before workout for energy and one after workout for recovery. I bought 2 dozen with less than 10 left.
I will recommend only as a dietary supplement.
Next up, GNC PP Soy Protein 95. I'll see how that goes.Pros

I recently had gastric bypass surgery and protein intake is very importay. This is one of the best RDT protein drinks out there plus it has vitamins and minerals which is a plus. All the falvors are great.

This is a meal replacement drink and offers a balance of protien, fat, and carbs. I like to drink it for one or two meals a day to control calories while still ensuring good nutrition. Combined with a light workout routine of walking for 40 to 60 minutes a day I have recently been able to lose 30 pounds while maintaining muscle mass - 43% body fat (before) to 35% body fat (after). I plan to keep this drink in my fitness/nutrition toolbox.
