Description
  • 900 mg total omega-3 fatty acids and 1,000 IU of Vitamin D-3
  • Supports breast, colon and immune heath*
  • Enhances calcium absorption for bone health*
  • Promotes heart, joint, brain, eye and skin health*

Fish oils naturally provide the heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid). One enteric coated softgel capsule combines 1,000 IU of vitamin D-3 with 900 mg of omega-3 fatty acids; 647 mg of EPA and 253 mg of DHA. The enteric coating allows the softgel capsule to break down and absorb in the small intestine. This controls or reduces the fishy burps due to reflux.

A landmark study involving over 11,000 participants has confirmed the major benefits of fish oil on cardiovascular health. The omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are necessary for heart health.* They help support normal, health cholesterol levels and are necessary in the maintenance of normal blood pressure.* Individually, EPA is important for circulatory system health, and DHA provides support for healthy triglyceride levels.*

This superior formula provides 1,000 IU of vitamin D-3. Vitamin D is necessary for healthy teeth and bones and enhances calcium absorbtion.* Emerging research suggests that vitamin D may play a role in supporting breast and colon health.*

GNC Triple Strength Fish Oil plus Vitamin D-3 has been purified and manufactured for freshness and found to be free of detectable levels of mercury, cadmium, lead and PCBs. We use only the best quality ingredients derived from wild, deep ocean fish.

Health Notes

Fish Oil & Cod Liver Oil (EPA & DHA)

Fish Oil & Cod Liver Oil (EPA & DHA)
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

I wish it was a little stronger on omega like 1000 or 1200. Otherwise, I enjoy the one pill a day combined with the much needed D3.

These fish oil pills seem to work okay. Since I take it for the heart benefits, it's hard to say if it actually does anything or not. I do not have "fish burps" that I have heard other people talk about...so that's good. If you want fish oil w/Vitamin D, then this stuff fits the bill.

The product seems to work well. I need to take the pills right before I go to bed or I end up burping up fishy taste for hours. I have heard freezing the pills helps with that and I just might try it. I love what they do for me and would hate to have to stop them.

I'm a "gold member" card holder. I need to pay more attention to the "deals". I'm finding other companies "rip" me off compared to GNC prices. My problem was I couldn't get the LYCOPOM every time; so I switched to another online company. My mistake. I will compare the $200 plus dollars I just spent on 4 bottles of Lycopom, selenium, Natural E. COQ10, ginger root, folic acid. I was SHOCKED at the price with the other company:(
