Health Notes

Melatonin

Melatonin
  • Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
  • Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
  • For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.

Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.

For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

I can never sleep at night without help. This helps most nights, but sometimes, I still can't sleep. But I don't want side effects since I use it every night and this does not have side effect.

          Comments about GNC Melatonin 3:

For many many years I have "suffered" from insomnia. I have been on 2 of the top sleep aids perscribed for the past 5 years. With insurance co-pays climbing and climbing...my co-pay for these meds had reached $55.00 per month!!! Not to mention worrying about the dependance factor of taking these meds. I had heard of Melatonin and asked my Dr what he thought. He said it was natrual so it was ok to give it a try.
Low and behold....IT WORKED!! Just as well as my other meds! I can take as needed and if I need a little more or less I am free to adjust as needed.
But the BEST thing is the COST!! Less than $10.00 for 120 pills.
You might feel a little "groggy" the first few days to a week in the morning but it goes away quickly.
