What Do the Advocates Say?*
Protein is necessary for rebuilding tissue-this is especially important for bodybuilders. All types of protein provide the body with amino acids. From an athletic point of view, whey is just another type of protein. Choosing whey protein over other types of protein simply adds variety to the protein choices available.
Whey is a common ingredient in many meal replacements, which are designed to provide a large amount of nutrients in a minimal amount of calories.
How Much Is Usually Taken by Athletes?
Animal studies suggest that whey protein can increase gains in lean body mass resulting from exercise.1 A controlled trial found that six weeks of strength training while taking 1.2 grams of whey protein per 2.2 of pounds body weight per day resulted in greater gains in lean body mass, but improved only one out of four strength tests.2 Another controlled study found that people taking 20 grams per day of whey protein for three months performed better on a test of short-term intense cycling exercise than people taking a similar amount of milk protein (casein).3 However, a double-blind trial found that men taking 1.5 grams per 2.2 lbs of body weight per day of predigested whey protein for 12 weeks along with a strength-training exercise program gained only half as much lean body mass and had significantly smaller increases in strength compared with men using a similar amount of predigested casein along with strength training.4 A controlled study of HIV-infected women found that adding whey protein to strength-training exercise was no more effective than exercise alone for increasing strength or improving body composition.5

I've tried other pre-workout supplements. This one is actually pretty good. I've been on it for 2 weeks and have had no muscle soreness. I've toned up and gained a good 5 lbs of muscle. Ravage gives you an amazing pump 10/10 at the beginning. Amazingly this product doesn't cause you to crash afterwards like N.O Xplode. But you will notice a lack of energy at the end of your workout. The taste really isn't that bad if you completely mix it up properly. Overall it is a good 4.5 out of 5. GNC really needs to price it correctly though. Either give us a bigger bottle for the price or make this one cheaper. GNC is really going the right route with these supplements, they just can't make the mistake of pricing themselves out of an ever competing market.

After trying a couple of preworkouts, I was surprised how much energy I got. I felt good during my workout and was more pumped to lift weights. However, the taste is terrible, after awhile its hard to drink.

I'm a 20-year-old female doing cardio 6 days/week and lifting 4 days/week. This stuff is seriously amazing. I am trying to lose about 70 pounds and usually do intense circuit training. This got me through a 90 minute cardio session as well as helped me get better and more sets/reps. I've also noticed I'm not as terribly sore the next day. I've only had it about half a week, but it's much better than Jacked. I feel like superwoman able to accomplish any physical feat:)

First off, I have NOT tried any other pre-workout (ex. C4, Jack3d, etc.)
I work out after my 8 hour day at work so I needed something to help me out. With only 1/2 a scoop of Ravage, it boost my energy, gets me in work-out mode, and gives me a great pump.
I'm a very skinny guy and always had a problem increasing my muscle size, but this has helped without a doubt. It does taste bad, however.
Just a trick, try adding more water to help with the taste (25%-50% more water) it helped out a LOT! (I use 12 ounces for 1/2 a scoop.)Pros

Not sure why people are knocking this supplement so much. Like most I work a 40 hour week, not a chance in hell I could be where I am without using Ravage the last 3 weeks. It broke me through my initial workout 'lull' simply feeling too tired to lift anything but the remote after work. Now I can't wait to workout. Everyday I'm blasting through more weight and more quality reps/sets.
Sure it tastes like hell but you only need to drink it once a day so suck it up. I give it a 4.5 due to taste. It does what it advertises it will do.Pros

I took it 30-45 mins before workout. It felt really great, gave me energy, strength and huge pumps. After each workout I could could lift more weight or extra reps. A friend of mine felt dizzy taking it, so it depends on the person. But it is worth to try.
