All puppies should receive their mother's milk for at least 2 days, if possible. This colostrums milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases. Warm milk replacer to room or body temperature. Feed puppies 2 tablespoons (30 mL) per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight daily. Divide the daily feeding amount into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies’ needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased depending on the individual puppy. Small and/or weak puppies should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Larger and/or older puppies can do well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the puppies 3 times per week to assure adequate feeding. When puppies are old enough to lap, begin offering the milk replacer in a shallow container. Pregnant & Lactating Bitches: Feed 2 tablespoons (30 mL) milk replacer liquid per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight daily. Growing puppies already on solid food, show dogs and/or convalescing dogs: Feed 1 tablespoon (15 mL) milk replacer liquid per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight daily.

I breed English Bulldog puppies. My female had a litter on November 28th and she never got her milk in so I had to bottle feed her puppy.
This milk did great. The puppy is so healthy, heavy folds/wrinkles, and what a plus for Bulldogs that need Immune boosters because of there poor immunes.
She is so full of wrinkles.
They only thing I did run into this was constipation. But I learned a little extra water helped prevent it. So I would use 3 tablespoons of the formula and the can would say I would then need 6 tablespoons of formula. This would cause constipation. So I learned that I could do 3 tablespoons of formula and 7 tablespoons of water and this would prevent constipation.Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought the 28oz container because I had 5 female yorkies ready to whelp. They get dry food constantly but once a day, I mix soft food along with 2Tb of the milk replacer and a calcium tablet. I usually use a cheeper brand. I will use this GNC Ultra Mega from now on. My girls had plenty of milk for their puppies and also, all the mamas are gaining their weight back and are doing great. I have not had to handfeed one single puppy. It mixes great, no lumps. I love this product.
