Life was calm with my two cats...and then I decided to adopt a new one. Almost immediately, the middle cat declared war on the baby and for a two months, I worried I wouldn't be able to keep my new little girl. I tried everything I could think of behaviorly and then...I found RELAX. I started out giving each of the warring sides a chew morning and night. After about two months of MUCH better behavior, I switched to morning only. Now everyone gets along -- although the baby (who is now a year old) is still very shy around the middle cat. For that reason, I'd strongly suggest using RELAX when you first introduce a new pet.

I bought these cat relax chews because after spaying my mom and daughter cats, all they do is fight. Currently I had to purchase a huge kennel to keep them separated which means swapping them out every 12 hrs or so and changing two litter boxes. I first tried to purchase these treats at a Gnc store, the clerk was standing like he didn't want me browsing the store and immediately said no when I asked if they carry the cat products. I then ordered online which was very quick and easy to do. I love that they provided free shipping and tracking. What I didn't love is being outsourced from ups to usps as well as their requesting signature confirmation, it delayed receiving my order. When I open the product, first I noticed the horrible smell and they are greasy to the touch. For the daughter cat, she loved them, gobbled one up immediately. The mother cat just licked it and tried to buried it. I then had to break it in tiny pieces for the mom cat to eat it. I waited several days feeding them one to two treats per day then slowly released them in the same room. The daughter cat quickly tried to mount the mom cat, biting her then started the hissing and would have soon led to fighting. I didn't see any change in behavior, even after giving the daughter cat a second treat. They were still just as aggressive towards each other. Thankfully the treats were low price but I am very disappointed that they didn't work. Now I'm back to square one. I would never get rid of either cat but I'm stuck having to keep them separate or risk a blood bath. I'm surprised so many had positive results on here, that is what encouraged me to buy the treats. I can safely say it's the last time I'll purchase them.

I was going away for a 4-day weekend,so I gave these to my 4 year old Maine Coon mix.It actually had the opposite effect on her!
Instead of getting calmer,she was hissing at & even attacked my sister,who was cat sitting for me!I was on the phone with her when it happened-all my sister did was to walk by her!
Besides myself,my sister is the person around my cats most often.I'm not sure which ingredient backfired,but I won't be buying these again.
Try this BEFORE you go away! Luckily,the treats ran out & she was back to normal quickly.

This works great for my nervous boy! It calms him down when there are fireworks, or a significant schedule change, or when a new cat is introduced. Not quite strong enough for him for vet appointments, though, but for more mundane things this works great without drugging him.

I have a couple of other cats who could benefit from these, but who won't eat them because they won't eat semisoft treats. If they came in regular hard (kibble-style) treats as well, they would get 5 stars.

I adopted 2 cats; one a stray and the other from a home. The stray had been very aggressive towards us and the other cat. Day two: both appear to be normal cats for once. For the first time in months, I have not been attacked with his ninja-like cat skills.

Had Problems with one of our Cats Peeing on the floor. Vet said he was very stressed. bought these from GNC. Cat has had only 1 accident and that was on a day that we forgot to give him one. Overall cat seems much more relaxed. Just ordered our third package!

I do cat rescue and have had a cat for a couple of months that I could not get close to because she would attack. I began giving her the relax treats about 2 weeks ago and she loves them. She comes to the front of the cage, rubs against it and has even allowed me to pet her. It's still a work in progress but the results so far are very promising. At least she seems much more content.

I bought this product after my cat peed out of retaliation due to change of environment. He gets anxious when he doesn't get the attention he seeks & usually sprays. But he also suffers from bladder/urination pain from crystals in his urine. He is currently on meds to help that, but in the meantime, he gets anxious when he needs to go. These treats have helps SO much & he hasn't peed outside the box since I started giving him these treats. I just wish the bad was bigger because I need to give him at least one a day. He LOVES them & I have caught him trying to get to the bag on the counter top.
Please consider making a bigger bag.

Rumpsie loved this product right away! She gobbled it right up, and boy did it calm her down! Over the past couple months she has developed some bad anxiety. She is not completely back to the mellow cat she used to be, but I believe this product will help her get there. On her first dose, her anxiety is non existent, she did not freak out at all and she even sat with me on the couch like she used to. She was more social also and did not hide under the bed after I gave her the first dose!

My cat was not interested in the treat at all, and I consider him to be wild about treats. I think the smell put him off. If you know the smell of Marmite, that is exactly what this treat smells like. It's also too hard.
Since I wanted him to be able to try it, I squished the treat between my fingers and put it in his wet food. He was reluctant to eat it but was hungry so he went ahead. It did relax him a little. Perhaps I should have given him two, but I think he would have noticed more. I don't think I'll be able to give it to him in the future because he's about to switch to an exclusively dry food for his allergies.
I'd try it again if they worked on the smell and texture.
