Directions for Mixing:
Gently shake or stir one part powdered milk replacer into two parts warm water. A part is any measuring device you use: teaspoon, tablespoon, or cup. Do not mix more milk replacer than can be consumed in 24 hours. Do not use a blender. Reconstituted milk replacer should be kept refrigerated. One 6 oz can of powder makes approximately 30 oz of liquid mixed 1:2.
Directions for Feeding:
All kittens should receive their mother's milk for at least 2 days, if possible. This colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.
Warm reconstituted milk replacer to room or body temperature before serving. Feed kittens 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of liquid per 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight daily. The daily feeding amount should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Kittens’ needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased depending on the individual kitten. Young and/or weak kittens should be fed every 3 to 4 hours. Older kittens can do well being fed every 8 hours. Weigh the kittens 3 times per week to assure adequate feeding. When kittens are old enough to lap, begin offering the milk replacer in a saucer.
Pregnant & Lactating Queens: Feed 2 teaspoons (4 g) milk replacer powder per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight daily.
Growing kittens already on solid food, show cats and/or convalescing cats: Feed 1 teaspoon (2 g) milk replacer powder per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) of body weight daily by top dressing food.
Warning: Unopened powder should be stored in a cool, dry place. Reconstituted milk replacer must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to 3 monthsor can be frozen for up to 6 months to preserve freshness. Not for human consumption. Sold by weight not by volume. This formula mixes amazingly well. I tried KMR and it was a chunky, clumpy mess. After mixing and mixing, I never did get it to come together and get smooth. GNC's brand mixed right up and stayed smooth even after refrigeration. I will never buy anything but GNC brand for kitten formula.

This is way better than using KMR. I have found that KMR powder causes constipation, and KMR liquid causes diarrhea. This GNC formula is the perfect formula for baby kittens. I go through about two cans per kitten during the entire bottle feeding process, so I see that as a great value. USE THIS INSTEAD OF KMR!!!

I have used many different formulas over the years (for human babies and kittens). I really don't like the way this one mixes. It sticks to the spoon if I stir it and just plain feels odd to me. I don't plan on getting this brand again for future litters.
The kittens were taken from a feral mother. The two girls are doing great and gaining well. The little boy started to refuse to drink it and began to act ill. Thankfully he is old enough to start to eat some canned. He was also switched to a different formula and is doing better. I am not certain if this is due to the formula or if he came with something from his feral mother.Pros

I have 2 orphaned kittens that I started bottle feeding them at 1 day old... Today they are 7 days old and I have tried about 3 different milks besides this one. I think I have found my favorite!!! even though it is a challenge to mix, it is well worth it even my kittys think so :) It has great consistancy and smells good too and fills them up good!!

I purchased this product at petsmart for five, 5 week old kittens. After reading about the recall on kmr brand formula in the past, I immediately purchased this product. The kittens seem to like it as I mix it in with their wet kitten food. I would recommend this product as a kitten milk replacer over kmr brand.
