L-Carnitine
L-Carnitine- Reliable and relatively consistent scientific data showing a substantial health benefit.
- Contradictory, insufficient, or preliminary studies suggesting a health benefit or minimal health benefit.
- For an herb, supported by traditional use but minimal or no scientific evidence. For a supplement, little scientific support.
Our proprietary "Star-Rating" system was developed to help you easily understand the amount of scientific support behind each supplement in relation to a specific health condition. While there is no way to predict whether a vitamin, mineral, or herb will successfully treat or prevent associated health conditions, our unique ratings tell you how well these supplements are understood by the medical community, and whether studies have found them to be effective for other people.
For over a decade, our team has combed through thousands of research articles published in reputable journals. To help you make educated decisions, and to better understand controversial or confusing supplements, our medical experts have digested the science into these three easy-to-follow ratings. We hope this provides you with a helpful resource to make informed decisions towards your health and well-being.

It transports fatty acids into mitochondria, the powerhouses of cells. Comments about GNC Total Lean™ Liquid L-Carnitine Iced Tea with Lemon:
I don't have anything negative to say at all about the product! I combined it with CLA as the GNC salesperson told me had worked for him for losing weight & gaining lean muscle. Before using these, my energy in the gym would be about 1.5 hours. Using them, I have energy enough to workout hard for 2.5-3.5 hours & still have more energy to go home to a 6 yr old boy & have fun playing with him! I would definitely recommend this product!

Comments about GNC Total Lean™ Liquid L-Carnitine Iced Tea with Lemon:
I add this in my green tea (sometimes I add a drop of B12 liquid in the tea too.) It adds the "sweetness" in the tea so I do not have to use sugar. It gives me some energy, but mostly it helps increase my metabolism. I have been taking it for about 5 months and so far I lost 15 pounds (with a little diet and exercise.) So far so good!

Comments about GNC Total Lean™ Liquid L-Carnitine Iced Tea with Lemon:
This is just another liquid carnitine product. I generally take a liquid carnitine upon rising on an empty stomach. When I first tried this product I got a bad rash on my face and joints liek elbows, wrists, and knees. After the second use I realised that this one has a lot of niacin and I apparently react negatively to that. When I took it after I ate breakfast there was no rash and I was fine. Because I like using on an empty stomach I was not happy with it, but if your looking for a carnitine liquid with a kick this might be for you. I also prefer to take it straight. Maybe if i mixed it with water or juice the effects would be less. Taste is okay at fisrt then slightly bitter. I wouldnt reccomend it just because of the effects I have encountered
