Beginners usually don’t need a premium creatine to get great results—standard creatine monohydrate is a proven, straightforward place to start, and the biggest driver of progress is taking it consistently.
Where “premium” formulas can make sense is when they solve a practical issue that prevents consistency: you dislike mixing powders, you want a smaller serving size, you travel a lot, or you want a more convenient format that’s easier to take every day.
At GNC, we look at it like this: the best creatine is the one you’ll actually take daily—because a simple routine done consistently fuels progress far better than a complicated routine done occasionally.
Quick takeaway:
When you’re getting started, the most important “upgrade” is building a habit: a small, repeatable daily dose you can stick to on training days and rest days. That’s why standard creatine monohydrate is so often recommended—it’s uncomplicated and easy to keep in your routine.
Premium formulations don’t automatically mean “more results.” In most real-life routines, they’re most valuable when they help you stay consistent—because consistency is what keeps muscle creatine stores topped up over time.
If you’ve ever bought a supplement you meant to use but didn’t, you already understand the real problem premium can solve: not biology—behavior. If a different format makes it easier to take every day, that can translate into better results for you.
Practical checkpoint: If you’re missing days because of mixing, timing stress, or travel, a more convenient creatine option may be the smarter move.
“Premium” is worth considering when it removes friction—especially in the first month when you’re building your training rhythm.
A premium option may be a better fit if:
A standard option is usually best if:
GNC’s approach is disciplined and practical: start with what you’ll use every day, and only level up when it meaningfully improves your routine.
The simplest path is the one most people can follow: take creatine daily and treat it like brushing your teeth—small action, big payoff over time.
A beginner-friendly routine:
If you’re using a product with a labeled serving suggestion, follow that label. The most common mistake isn’t choosing the “wrong” creatine—it’s taking it for a week, skipping a week, then restarting.
If you want the routine to feel effortless, match the form to your lifestyle: powders for simplicity at home, tablets/chews for convenience when you’re busy.
If you’re new to creatine, you don’t need a chemistry degree to choose well. Focus on what keeps your routine clean, consistent, and easy.
1) Clear ingredient listing If it’s a simple creatine product, the label should feel simple. If it’s a blend, make sure you know what you’re getting and why it’s there.
2) Format you’ll actually use Powder, tablets, chews, or added into a pre-workout—choose the option you’ll take on your busiest day.
3) Quality standards you trust GNC’s long-standing commitment is to curate fuel you can count on—so you can focus on showing up, training, and stacking daily wins.
When you keep it practical, creatine becomes exactly what it should be: a reliable, low-drama part of your plan.

Not a fan of the taste. Extremely sour and tart- will not be repurchasing.
Bast of the flavors so far.
It works great. Love this product
I've been using this brand for yrs but nowadays its harder to get in stores. Unfortunate did have bad in store experience getting them which unfortunately neary stores didn't have unflavor one
Taste is horrible, it's Super tart? If you can get past the taste it really is a good creatine. I'm going back to the Lemon flavored creatine from this company.
My husband enjoys this
I have switched to Hcl con-cret after using mono for years, hands down you will see results better pumps and muscle development, taste is #1
I am 52 years old. I was actually surprised when I felt the effect of this powder. It actually made a difference. I think the regular dose about 15 minutes before training along with a cup of coffee. The weights feels easier to lift and muscle pain and soreness as less.Is it just me? my imagination? Well, I will wait for others opinion.
dont care for this at all - makes my teeth squeeky
Great product! It tastes better to mix with Orange gatorade. Love it. I use it for every morning.
Really Good Taste , creatine is one of the best product for any work out
I have no complaints with this product
I LOVE this product. I've taken it for the last 2.5 years on a regular basis on lift days. It dissolves easily, is microdosed, and I love the pineapple flavor.
I had expected Unflavored to be unflavored, but there is a distinct and acidic sharpness that is quite off-putting. When adding to a shake, it makes protein powder tastes like it's gone off, akin to souring milk. Now, I just mix it with lemon-lime Gatorade to mask the flavor and acidic slap. The other thing I experienced was gastric unrest, which was not expected given the reviews. I'll finish what I bought, as I hate wasting supps, but I won't be purchasing again.
Gives me a nice pump after I'm done working out. Keeps me tight
Great for muscle recovery.
Good product
Tastes good, works quickly
I can chug this on fridays.
Completely dissolves in water. A bit of a citric taste but enjoyable
I love how it dissolves in any liquid without you feeling like you are drinking water with sand in it. Just wished it the container is mucho bigger. Keep in mind that the container is extremely small for its price. It does taste great.
Great product
Great taste and works as advertised!
It is really helpfull
The flavor is great but it leaves a gritty feeling on your teeth.
Doesn’t hurt my stomach
S*** fire
Awesome product!! No bloating at all, and definite strength increases.
Won't recommend
Great Taste and great Results
Compared to other creatines I have used in the past the taste is great. I give it a 5 on that. The quantity says up to 65 but I burned through it very quickly myself. I would give it a 3 for that hence ending up with a 4 star overall.
Great stuff
I absolutely love it and I feel that I'm barely sore after lifting heavy and I feel stronger!
Yes real nice and good
Flavor is excellent. Con-cret is the best Creatine, does not cause bloating. I have used it for many for years and all the flavors are great.
Cannot beat concrete. Been using it for years. All flavors are good but the lemon is the best!
Great option for creatine without the bloating.
Works well and it tastes great!
Price is good!
Good stuff
Using this for a few weeks and for me it's a total game changer.
Works great!
Great product that I will be purchasing again
What’s not to like? The dose is super small. It dissolves really well in water, unlike the gritty monohydrate. And it works! Been cycling on/off CON-CRET for years. Personally, I feel that it gives me more stamina while lifting than other forms of creatine that I have tried.
1st day using this and I gotta admit it works. I mixed it with a pre workout (1st time trying this too)"Lit" jolly rancher watermelon. I didn't get the boost until about my 3rd set I noticed I was throwing the weight up pretty easy. The only thing I didn't like was I had a tingling sensation in my forehead area. It wasn't a lot but I noticed it. It wore off by time o completed my full workout. I would recommend
It's one the best out there. I like buying the unflavored one, mixing it with my pre workout. Great results...
Awesome results. Muscles crave more repetitions, and repair faster. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.
Definitely recommend and works great for recovery.
Approve of the product.
I can't say whether it's actually having an effect, strength or size wise at this early in the process, but it is easy to incorporate into my daily routine and the taste isn't objectionable as long as it's mixed with really cold water (and preferably a pre-workout, too).
This is the best I've seen.
