Yes—brand-to-brand differences can matter, even when the label says “creatine monohydrate.” The biggest justification for choosing one over another is purity, followed by how much creatine you get per serving and how straightforward the formula is.
With a single-ingredient supplement, small details carry a lot of weight. A higher stated purity helps you feel confident you’re buying creatine monohydrate—not a blend padded with extra ingredients. Serving size matters too: it tells you exactly how much creatine you’re getting each time you scoop, which makes it easier to stay consistent day to day.
Creapure® Creatine Monohydrate - Unflavored (50 Servings) keeps the decision simple with a clearly stated profile: 99.9% purity and 5 g of creatine per serving. It’s also unflavored, which makes it easy to mix into whatever routine you already have without changing the taste.
Bottom line: if two products both say “monohydrate,” the smart differentiators are the ones you can verify on the label—purity, grams per serving, and simplicity.
When brands sell the same core ingredient, the best comparison is a checklist of specifics you can confirm. Use the dimensions below to separate “similar” from “worth it.”
If another brand can’t match this level of clarity—especially on purity and grams per serving—it’s harder to justify choosing it when your goal is a clean, consistent creatine routine.
When you’re comparing creatine monohydrate powders, focus on a few decision points that keep you disciplined and consistent—because consistency is what makes any supplement routine feel worth it.
Look for a product that states its purity and the amount of creatine per serving. That removes guesswork and helps you compare options quickly. A defined dose also makes it easier to track your routine without constantly recalculating.
If you don’t want your creatine to change the taste of your drink, an unflavored powder is the most flexible choice. It can fit into a wide range of routines without forcing you into a specific flavor profile.
Serving count is a simple way to align your purchase with your schedule. A tub sized for a set number of servings can help you plan refills and stay on track.
If you want a straightforward option that checks the key boxes—purity, a clear 5 g serving, and an unflavored format—Creapure® Creatine Monohydrate - Unflavored (50 Servings) is an easy, no-drama pick.

Great taste
The "New" flavor is not as good as the previous. It's way too sweet. I've begun using a more natural protein powder that doesn't have all the sweeteners. Sorry. Been a customer for many years, but it's time to change as I can't get past this issue.
4.5 rating for texture, taste and causes no GI issues.
Wow I just had to open a new container and realized it was different. This new formula is awful I have used this protein for years to make a protein cake for dessert..well this formula won't cook at all. It is awful?I don't know what to use now and I just threw $60 out the window because i can't use this gnc new protein formula. Think twice before purchasing this. I will not be ordering this again
Taste horrible compared to old sustained cheaper ingredients and on top of that the jug is taller but less protein in it same price that is DESEPTIVE to loyal gnc customers Definitly gonna shop around for protein I'm done with gnc games
Terrible Will not buy again the formula has changed and I have been using this product for years.
My favorite protein for morning shakes! Plastic jug has gotten larger and servings have gotten smaller though. A bit deceptive.
Formula change for the WORST. The old formula had quality isolate ingredients and the new has cheap whey ingredients. New formula tastes sour and leaves an awful aftertaste. We sincerely thought we bought an expired batch until we compared ingredients. The old formula was creamy, sweet and perfect for smoothies. We won't be buying from GNC until they bring back the old formula.
I've been through probably 8 -10 containers of this powder - prior to the flavor change. I really used to look forward to having this, but not anymore. It tastes like fruit loops were added to it. Very disappointed. Also, I see that you have reduced the number of servings per container. I understand that costs can go up, but why be sneaky about it?
Formula was recently changed (vainilla milkshake) and now it tastes like every other protein shake, horrible aftertaste. I was so happy with the previous one.
