Kazim Khan:<\/strong> Taking care of your body is one of the most important aspects of MMA. As a business owner, I chose an industry that matches my healthy, active lifestyle. Owning GNC stores allows me to continue promoting health and wellness, which is a natural extension of my life as an athlete.<\/p>\n

How has your experience in MMA influenced your approach to running your GNC locations?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> As a professional athlete, I learned that success can only be achieved with hard work and dedication. The more you put in, the more you get out. Kazim Khan:<\/strong> When it comes to nutrition and fitness, my customers get help from someone who has a deep understanding of the body and how supplements can help achieve health and fitness goals. I strive to keep a staff of knowledgeable associates who share my passion for health, fitness, and nutrition.<\/p>\n

What are your top recommendations for supplements that support athletic performance and recovery?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> It depends on the athlete and their exercise and diet habits. For performance, we typically recommend products like Creatine, HMB, Peak O2, and Testosterone boosters. For recovery, we recommend amino acids, hydration products, dextrin or dextrose, and greens blends.<\/p>\n

Are there any health and wellness trends that you find particularly exciting or beneficial for both athletes and non-athletes?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> Yes, I find the greens juice trend particularly beneficial. I enjoy recommending fruits and greens blends because most people don\u2019t get enough complex carbs in their diet. Carbs are the body\u2019s source of energy, so getting more nutritious carbs improves performance, recovery, and overall well-being.<\/p>\n

What are your goals for the future growth of your GNC locations in Minneapolis and Coon Rapids?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> I would like to have more influence in the local universities and gyms. We are currently sponsoring Augsburg College and Anytime Fitness in Minneapolis, and we are in communication to partner with the Coon Rapids Snap Fitness location.<\/p>\n

Can you share any unique marketing or community engagement strategies that have been successful for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> We have partnered with local schools, gyms, and smoothie shops and have noticed an increase in revenue from these avenues. These partnerships help us connect with the community and promote our products effectively.<\/p>\n

Who or what has been your biggest source of inspiration in both your athletic and entrepreneurial journeys?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazim Khan:<\/strong> My Dad is a successful business owner and the hardest worker I know. The most important thing I\u2019ve learned from him is his work ethic. His dedication has been a major inspiration for me.<\/p>\n
