My furry babies love this produce
I’m a new user to Ultra Mega Superfoods Complex for all dogs - beef flavor. My Three dogs love it! I just recently started making my dogs food from scratch at home. I wanted to ensure they get all proper nutrients so after my research I believe I found the best option with this GNC product. Thanks GNC for providing this great option. My dogs seem happier and there next veterinarian appointment will best tell the true outcome. If you do your research I believe you’ll come to my same answer for ensuring your furry kids stay healthy too. Thanks again GNC

Really works!
I've only given it to my 2 dogs for about 3 weeks but I have to say 1 of my greyhounds seems to be getting up easier then before. They love the beef flavor and gobble up their food each time I put it in. I would recommend it to anyone with animals with joint pain.

Dog does not like it
My older dog ate it the first time very well. After that she has refused to eat it and turns her nose up and walks away. Our vet recommended it for doggie dementia. Trying to mix in other foods but it’s very difficult to get her to eat it.

I was looking for a good supplement for my two furry buddies and by chance happened to find the GNC Ultra Mega Superfood Complex. Having used it for two weeks now I can attest that my dogs love the taste and can't wait for their feeding. Nothing is left in the bowl. They appear to be more lively, healthier and happier. So far I am ecstatic with this product, who knew GNC made pet products?

Our 13 year old dog had been suffering from stomach problems and didn't eat much at all for a week. But with medicine from vet and this powder she got well. She is a very very very picky dog but she loves this. Thanks GNC!

My Chinese Crested
My Chinese Crested has used this product for 2 months. Her issues with her skin has quieted. She used to scratch herself bloody. Her whole body from nose to tail was involved. I was almost to the point of putting her down. Her life has greatly improved with the use of this product.

dogs love it
I originally started using this for one of our dogs with health issues but have added it to the food of 2 of our other dogs.
They love it and it has seemed to help with coat issues.
I would really like to see it packaged in a more eco-friendly
bag and it would make it easier for shipping. The hard plastic
container is barely half full.

How many servings are in one 16oz container?
A shopper on Apr 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Depending on how many dogs you have and their wieght depends on how long the product will last for you.

Here is our dosages daily.
1 tub has last us 1 month. That's feeding 3 dogs once daily on 2 different dosages.

Evva (39lbs) started at 1/4 scoop for one week, and now is taking her full dosage at 1/2 scoop daily.
Simba(132lbs) and Kai(109lbs) started at 1/2 scoop for one week daily and now is taking their full dosages at 1 scoop daily.
I cook my own dog food and freeze it. Do I add this to it when I cook it or when I serve it?
A shopper on Sep 25, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I would add it when you serve it to them. I cook for my dogs too and I would mix this with their food right before they ate it.
Is this product natural? Will it help with joint and/or arthritis issues in an older dog?
A shopper on Dec 11, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It is a natural product with Omeg 3 in it, it's used for skin and coat along with probiotics in it.
We make our dog food and would ideally like to put the vitamins in the food prior to baking-however, the supplement requires refrigeration. Can we cook with it in the food or do we need to add it to his food prior to serving it? I don't want to kill any vital portion of the supplement via heat...thanks!
A shopper on Jun 20, 2013
BEST ANSWER: It's safe to bake but you lose nutrition that way. If possible add it after baking for best results.
What is the best way to feed this product? I have been mixing it with water and using it like a gravy on dry dog food but my dog is not very interested in it? Is this the best route or is there a better way?
A shopper on Jan 3, 2011
BEST ANSWER: I've just been sprinkling the powder onto my dog's dry food and mixing it in. It actually sticks to the dry food pretty well w/out water, I don't notice a lot of powder left over when the food is gone. My dog seems to like it. Also if you feed your dog canned food as well, you can try mixing it in that and see if they like it.
I use this to supplement my girls homemade food. They've been getting picky and wont eat it sprinkled on top or even mixed with water like a gravy. What other ways can I incorporate it into their diets? I know baking will lose nutrition... but that is the only way they'll eat it so far

BEST ANSWER: I put mine into a blender bottle with some water and a half tablespoon of canned pure pumpkin to help digestion. This makes a pumpkin smootie that is poured over theor food.
Just make sure you dont get pie filling it has to be pure pumpkin.
Can my 11 year old diabetic dog have this? He is currently on no meds. Diet controlled.
A shopper on Jun 19, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, my dogs are both diabetic, if they are having any joint stiffness, feed them the joint formula..they are 14 and 12. My dogs are playing like youngsters again
Is the dose of 1 scoop for my 85 pound dog the per day dose or per feeding ?
A shopper on Jan 25, 2013
BEST ANSWER: One scoop is the dose per day. You're adding it to the food to make it easier for your dog to take it.
In noticed a lot of your dog products says don't give known systems from shell fish I have a dog highly allergic
to shell fish. This does not mention it but I wanted to make sure. Please advise?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2012
BEST ANSWER: There is no shellfish in the ingredients listed on the label.
Thanks for your earlier response but you told me exactly what the label states which is the cause for the confusion. The labeling is not clear on if the recommended dose is "The Daily" dose or if this is per feeding. I am going on the assumption that it is daily, is this correct?

A shopper on Aug 12, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Yes, This is daily that the quantities are to be given.
I am starting my 6 month old Boston Terrier pup on a homemade food diet and am looking for the right supplement to add that will balance the diet and give him even more than he needs as the primary supplement?, including digestive enzyme (probiotics)?. I will be making his food in bulk, can I use this product that way? Also, do your feeding instruction suggest adding it to each meal everyday or how often.
A shopper on Jul 5, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Add the supplement to your dog’s food. Start with half the recommended amount, and gradually increase to full amount over the course of one week.
Up to 10 lbs: 1/4 scoop
11 to 50 lbs: 1/2 scoop
Over 50 lbs: 1 scoop
This product is safe and able to be made into bulk quantities.
Dosage recommendations are not clear. Our dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog and she is 80 lbs. We started with one scoop on her dry dog food and she was not interested in the food, at all. We tried adding water and she still was not interested. One scoop of that powder is a lot and I don't get how we are supposed to make this attractive. Do you have any recipes we can use to make this appealing?
A shopper on May 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: GNC recommend on their label to start of with HALF the recommended amount and to gradually increase over the course of a week. So to get your dog used to it, start off with a half scoop (as for dogs over 50lbs the full amount should be one scoop). If you feed your dog wet food as well as dry food, mix it in with the wet food, as this will better disguise it and make it more appetizing - dogs not used to vitamin supplements can smell and taste it otherwise. If just feeding dry food, mixing it with a little water will help as the powder is very dry. Other users of the product have also split the daily amount over both meals to reduce the amount given in one sitting, again making it easier to mix in with food, so try that as well.
Does this product have digestive enzymes in it. The product I use now has amlase, trypsin, papain, lipase, protease, bromelain, pepsin, ditase, and petase. Does this product these enzymes in it.
A shopper on May 5, 2012
BEST ANSWER: GNC Pets Ultra Mega Superfood Complex for All Dogs does contain digestive enzymes in it. It does not contain all of the ones you listed.
For Ultra Mega Superfood, should this be given daily? It is not specific...
A shopper on Feb 26, 2012
BEST ANSWER: You can give this supplement to your dog in its food daily.
I have yet to ask my Vet but do you think it would be recommended for pregnant dogs? Or Safe for pregnant dogs?
