How To Use

Newborn Kittens: Mix powder with water (see Mixing Directions below). Warm liquid to at least room temperature, but no warmer than 100°F (37°C). Test liquid on your wrist prior to feeding to be sure that temperature is not too hot.
Healthy kittens grow rapidly and their nutritional needs change as they grow. To ensure adequate feeding, weight your kitten 3 times per week. Depending on your kitten's weight, you will need to increase or decrease the amount of milk replacer in order to meet your kitten's individual nutritional needs. Calculate your kitten's total nutritional needs per day (see Daily Feeding Amount below). Mix enough milk replacer for an entire day and feed equal amounts of milk replacer every 8 hours. Small and/or weak kittens should be fed equal amounts of milk replacer ever 3 to 4 hours. If your kitten is old enough to lap, milk replacer can be given in a shallow container.
Daily Feeding Amount: Feed your kitten 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of liquid milk replacer for every 4 ounces (115 g) of body weight per day. For example, a 1 lb (16 oz) kitten should be fed 8 tablespoons (120 ml) of milk replacer per day. If feeding the kitten every 8 hours, give 40 ml (approximately 2 1/2 tablespoons) of liquid at each feeding; if feeding the kitten every 3-4 hours, give 15 - 20 ml (approximately 1 1/4 tablespoons) of liquid at each feeding.
Growing Kittens (post weaning), Show Cats and/or Convalescing Cats: Feed 1 teaspoon (2 g) of the milk replacer powder per 5 lbs (2.2 kg) of body weight per day.
Pregnant and Lactating Queens: Feed 2 teaspoons (4 g) of the milk replacer powder per 5 lbs (2.2 kg) of body weight per day.
Mixing Directions:
Add milk replacer to warm water in a 1:2 ratio (for example, add 1 tablespoon of powder to 2 tablespoons of water). Stir gently until mixed well. Do not use a blender to mix.
Unopened powder should be stored in a cool, dry place. Reconstituted milk replacer must be kept refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to 3 months or can be frozen for up to 6 months to preserve freshness. Not for human consumption. Sold by weight not by volume. This product is intended for intermittent or supplemental feeding only., SEE MANUFACTURER'S LABEL FOR ADDITIONAL PRODUCT INFORMATION AND INGREDIENTS.
