PRENATAL FORMULA WITHOUT IRON

GNC Prenatal Formula is a premium multivitamin that provides nutritional support for both mother and baby before, during and after delivery. Pregnancy is a special time in a women's life and an important time to be mindful not only of your individual nutritional needs, but the nutritional needs of your baby as well. Maternal nutritional before and during pregnancy affects both your well-being and your infant's growth. As your baby develops through the early phases of life, your nutritional needs will also increase. After delivery, you need an adequate diet rich in essential nutrients such as calcium and folic acid to support nursing and replace depleted nutrient stores. This delicately blended multivitamin offers supplement nutritional support for both you and your baby.

Nutritional Support
  • Supplies a balanced nutritional blend combining vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to supplement a healthy diet. Emerging research suggests that antioxidants can help protect the body from harmful free radicals that can destroy healthy cells.*

Folic Acid
  • Provides 1,000 mcg of folic acid, critical during the earliest weeks of pregnancy when a baby's organs are forming. Adequate intake of folic acid in a healthy diet before and during early pregnancy may reduce the risk of birth defects of the brain and spinal cord. Folic acid is also required for cell growth and DNA fromation.*

Calcium & Bone Health
  • Features 600 mg of bone-strengthening calcium which is vital during pregnancy, especially during the third trimester when fetal bones begin to calcify. If a mother's calcium level drops, her body can pull calcium from her bones resulting in a loss of bone density. Also includes 400 IU of vitamin D-3 to enhance calcium absorption.*

An iron-free formula for women who prefer to take a separate iron supplement.

A complete nutritional program should be followed prior to conception through pregnancy and maintained while breastfeeding. Talk to your doctor about adding GNC Prenatal Formula to your daily nutritional regimen.

Great Prenatal Vitamin
Love the prenatal without Iron and it doesn’t have after taste like some vitamins. This helps when you are dealing with morning sickness.

False Advertising
I bought 3 bottles of these because I need iron free vitamins. All the photos and descriptions show these are gluten free II have a pretty significant allergy to wheat/gluten) and the bottles came today and the contain wheat very clearly labelled. I had these shipped international as there is nothing sold that I can find in Canada for a prenatal vitamin without iron. Beware this product is not advertised correctly.

Good vitamin. Good price.
I have used this vitamin throughout my pregnancy. I chose GNC because it is a reputable brand. I chose the no iron formula because I did not want to become constipated. So far I have not had any problems with constipation. I have been taking the vitamins with food to prevent nausea. I gave the review 4 stars because the pills are large and require lots of water to swallow. Also I prefers gummy type supplements.

These prenatal vitamins are great! No iron which is a very good thing since iron makes me ill. I'm taking them for my nails; they've become more brittle since I've gotten older. The price is good, too! Thanks GNC!

Best Vitamins
I have tried so many different brands of prenatals and none compare to this product. I have had an issue with ones that had iron in them. Trying to get pregnant and won't switch to any other brand.

Great product. I am going to use these through my entire pregnancy.

They just are perfect it's that easy
I can't take iron nor can I find a pre-natal that even compares to the values in this one, and believe me I have looked. I keep thinking there is probably something better out there without iron, but there truly isn't. This prenatal has it all! The only reason I gave it 4 starts is I believe they should add DHA and it would literally be a perfect formula.

Great vitamin
I really like this prenatal vitamin. I need to take one with no iron because I have hemochromatosis (iron overload). I take one serving (two pills) just before bed and with just water. I don't take it with any food or anything. I never have an upset stomach and as far as I can tell it hasn't affected my negatively in anyway. I will continue taking this product for a long time!

Dear sir,

BEST ANSWER: You can feasibly take either one. The supplements with iron are designed for women who may experience low blood iron during pregnancy, which is a common problem, To properly determine if you have low blood iron, you should contact your obstetrician who can perform a simple blood test.
