Does vit k provoke migraine headaches?
Marti on Dec 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In theory, it can but in practice the answer is no. Vit K is involved in cloting mechanism in the body, among other functions. Potentially or theoretically, if excessive cloting were to take place, there could be the risk of decreased oxygen to the affected area; a decreased oxygen could cause pain due to ischemia. However, the body does not normally allow excess cloting unless there is a desease process in the body to predispose that individual. So, in a normal functioning of the body, the right enzymes will be released in the right amount so the cloting process or the function of Vit k is well regulated with no adverse effects of migraine headaches. I, and many people I know who take vit k, do not normally experience migraine headache as it adverse effects.
