Product Information

Nutritional Insurance for Mom & Baby*

  • 500 mg of DHA to support healthy brain and eye function development*
  • 1,000 mcg of folic acid to support healthy fetal development*
  • Calcium to promote bone health*

Support for mom and baby before, during, and after pregnancy. This formula features a balanced nutritional blend of vitamins, minerals and atioxidants.
Fetal Development
Contains 500 mg of DHA omega-3 fatty acids to support the healthy development of your baby's brain, eyes and nervous system. Also provides 1000 mg of folic acid, which, as part of a healthy diet, may reduce the risk of brain and spinal cord birth defects when taken before and during pregnancy. It's also required for cell growth and DNA formation.*
Bone Health
Features 600 mg of calcium, which is especially vital during the third trimested when your baby's bones begin to calcify. If a mother's calcium level drops, her body can pull calcium from her bones, which can result in the loss of bone density.*
Contains 18 mg of iron. Iron plays a crucial role in the formation of healthy red blood cells, which is essential to support placental and fetal needs and a mother's increased blood volume.*
Has antioxidants for protection from harmful free radicals.*

Bad online service from GNC. Bad order management
My online order was cancelled by GNC after 2 days. No reason for it. When I requested the cancellation reason, I received an apology but again no reason.

This is considering that I have a Pro Membership. A good enough reason for me to move away from GNC and not renew the Pro membership for future years.

in the Supplement Facts you listed, is the amount referring to per capsule? or the total amount of 3 capsules? if 3, the DHA taken per day would be 1500mg. it's unreasonable. these 3 capsule is really big compared with my previous brand. I am concerned that if it overdose for a pregnant woman to take 3 per day. thanks!

BEST ANSWER: The bottle says Serving Size is 3 capsules and the chart says Amount Per Serving which is "3 Capsules" is 500mg not 1500mg.

I am preparing for getting pregnant in these one or two month, is it suitable for me to take the prenatal formula, or it is only for those who already pregnant?
A shopper on Jun 13, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Not only is it suitable to take before pregnancy, its recommended. "Women’s Prenatal Formula with DHAGNC Prenatal Formula with DHA is a premium multivitamin that provides nutritional support for both mother and baby before, during and after pregnancy." This is quoted right off their products webpage and is repeated on many parenting, motherhood, and pregnancy websites all over the web. I hope this helps and good luck.
I work night shift and sometimes my eating schedule gets really messed up. If I have slept all day, is it safe to take all three prenatal vitamins at the same time when I get up in the evening?
A shopper on Sep 12, 2013
BEST ANSWER: You should doublecheck with your physician before taking three GNC Women's Prenatal vitamins (one dose) when you get up in the evening. It's probably okay, as when you rise, that's your "morning" and I do not see any restriction on the time of day these vitamins should be taken, but you should doublecheck.

Hi!! I just bought the supplement and I read that each tablet has 15 calories of fat. What does it mean? Am I getting fat if I take the tablet? How can a tablet have fat calories?? Thanks!!!!
A shopper on Feb 26, 2018
I bought these about 1.5 weeks ago, as me and my husband are trying for baby #1. I have been experiencing slight heartburn for about a week. I have read that vitamin c in prenatals can cause heartburn, however, I was taking vitamin c long before switching to prenatals with no heartburn issues and I very rarely get heartburn. Any chance that heartburn is a side effect of these pills and if so, any advice on how to help the situation (i really don't want to switch pills b/c these were the best option from all the ones I compared it to)?
