A sanity saver!
My 16 year old cat has always accepted other cats, male or female easily. But when I adopted a 3 year old male he took an extreme disliking to him and spent the day "stalking" him. Now, with a treat in the am and another in the pm, the stalking has calmed and the growling/hissing is rare. I've regained my sanity!!!

It was PURRfect!!!!
I would recommend this product for various reasons:
A: The product comes with plenty of chews
B: My cat willingly ate and liked the flavor
C: It calmed her down so she wouldn’t be meowing the whole way down the road
It also interested me because it didn’t have any harmful ingredients that would make her sick. It generally takes 20, 30, or at the most 40 minutes to sink in and make your cat calm. If you want it to have a chance of working better, you could give your cat 2 chews. They come in a fish shape so they may be to big for a kitten to eat. I wouldn’t recommend giving your cat more then 2 a day. Overall, I think this product worked very well

These really do work
This treats really do work. I run a local cat rescue and have recommended these numerous times. Afterwards the people come back to thank me for showing them these treats and how amazed at how well they worked. I see some reviews saying they were hard. They are hard because they are old or air has been allowed to get to them. These are a very nice tool to have when you have a cat with emotional or behavioral issues.

My cat loves these treats. They helped on a recent road trip from CT to FL. She mellowed right out, but did not act sedated in any way.

wish you got more for what you pay
It works but for the price they could give you more than 21 in a package. And why do I have to order online why don't they have it in stores? I would have gone through Petsmart or an animal product based store like that but everything is for dogs nothing for cats.

Not soft chews, but work
These chews are too hard for my cat who has trouble chewing hard treats. She usually swallows her treats whole. The first time she tried to chew and then swallowed. She found one laying on the nightstand and snuck up and got it , that one she chewed it in bits and ate it all. But won't eat any now and I have to crush and put in her food. Now to the good part, they do work to mellow her and she has went 3 days without hissing. I did not give to her for 2 days and she started the hissing last night. Back to the chews tonight,. but I would like them to be softer.

Great for my VERY nervous cat!
One of my cats has always been very nervous, and timid of everything. He's the kind of cat that will enter a room every day as if walking on egg shells. Just recently we start dog sitting in our house and although the dogs don't bother him, just knowing that there is a dog in the house bothers my cat tremendously. He paces back and forth, his pupils are dilated, he will hiss at anyone, and he wont eat or drink. He only gets this way when we dog sit, which isn't very often. So I decided to get this product. I gave him two, which he ate with ease. I did two because the first time I only gave him one and it didn't seem to have an effect; he was still very paranoid and anxious. Two was much effective on him. He soon became his old self and started eating and drinking again, and allowing people to come around him. He wasn't tired at all, but the complete opposite: curious. I would recommend this product.

BEST ANSWER: Yes it is safe to give your 3 month kitten a Relax chew. You should give her one chew and at least two(2) hours before you leave on your trip.
Is this product safe for my pet to take daily or is it only meant to be used occasionally?
A shopper on Jun 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: This product is intended for use during times of increased stress, it's not a long-term everyday product.
I've just read that this product is not meant to be used daily. However, we adopted an abused/abandoned can who has adjusted to life very successfully using this product. If she goes more than three days without this product she reverts back to a very stressed out mess. Do you feel we are harming her in any way? We have consulted a pet physiologist at Pet Smart who recommended this product and didn't feel it would hurt her. Would you please advise? Thank you.

BEST ANSWER: I have an almost identical situation with my cat. I do give him a piece of this product every day and have for a couple of years. (I cut the pieces into two pieces so he can chew them easier--the whole pieces seemed a bit too big.) I haven't noticed any ill effects of giving him this product daily and it sure has helped make his life (and mine) easier, mellower, and happier!!! I don't think though that too much of this product at one time would be very good for our babies.
What is the duration of this product? We live in the country. Our old cat and the new one don't get along real well on the inside of the house at night, but are usually ok during the day. Since we live on wooded property, both cats really enjoy the outdoors. But I don't want them so laid back that they don't know when to run or not.

How long do these chews work?
A shopper on May 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Probably depends on cat and age. Worked great for a few hours each time on my hyper kitten. He liked eating them if crumbled up. Grown, he doesn't need them any more.
Is this product safe for a 3 month old kitten? I am going on a trip soon and wanted to make sure she can take this too. She is 3 1/2 pounds.

BEST ANSWER: You have to check with a vet on animals less than 6 months old. Some vitamins, treats, and medications are not made for babies, only adult cats.
does it help with biting?
A shopper on May 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Not really. It keeps them a bit relaxed but don't expect a quick change.
our cat has hyperesthesia, would this be safe to give him? He also takes phenibarbatol, but has become toxic so we had to reduce the amount he gets per day
A shopper on Jan 31, 2017
BEST ANSWER: My cat doesn't like the texture.
I have your Ultra Mega Relax for cats in liquid form. Directions say 1 teaspoon for up to 10#, do not exceed 3 servings a day. So is that 1 teaspoon per serving or per day??
A shopper on Aug 14, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Ultra Mega Relax for cats in the liquid form should be given only 1 serving of 1 teaspoon per day.
