Description

THE BIGGER PICTURE OF WHEY
Whey Protein Isolates are 90% pure protein by weight. They are the purest and most expensive form of whey protein that exists. That's why they are the first ingredients you read on the 100% Whey Gold Standard™ label. By using Whey Protein Isolates as our primary protein source, we're able to pack 24 grams of the purest, muscle-building protein per serving, and a lot less of the fat, cholesterol, lactose, and other stuff that you can do without. There's no question this is the standard by which other whey proteins are measured.

THE ADVANCED GOLD STANDARD WHEY PROTEIN BLEND:
100% Whey Gold Standard™ is made of an exclusive blend of:
  • Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolats
  • Ion-Exchanged Whey Protein Isolates
  • Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate
  • HYDROWHEY® Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides

BEYOND THE BASICS
  • Packed with Whey Protein Isolates (WPI)
  • HIGHER PROTEIN PERCENTAGE (24 grams of protein; over 81% protein in weight).
  • Includes HYDROWHEY®, strategically hydrolyzed, low molecular weight whey peptides to make protein faster acting
  • Contains LACTASE and AMINOGEN® digestive enzymes to enhance utilization
  • WHEY PROTEIN MICROFRACTIONS including Alpha-lactalbumin, Glycomacropeptides, Beta-lactoglobulin, Immunoglobulin G (IgG), Lactoferrin, Lactoperoxidase, and various growth factors
  • Over 4 grams of GLUTAMINE & glutamine precursors
  • More than 5 grams of BCAAs (Leucine, Isoleucin, and Valine) in each scoop

How To Use

SPOON STIRRED: 100% Whey Gold Standard™ is INSTANTIZED. That means if you forgot your shaker cup or don't have time to get out the blender, you can just add one rounded scoop of 100% Whey Gold Standard™ to a glass filled with 6-8 oz. of water, nonfat milk or your favorite beverage. Then mix it up with a spoon. Stir for about 20 seconds or until powder is completely dissolved.

SHAKER: Bringing a shaker cup with you to the gym is the best way to get a powerful dose of protein immediately after your workout. Just add one rounded scoop of 100% Whey Gold Standard™ to your shaker cup and then pour in 6-8 oz of your preferred beverage. Cover and shake for 25-30 seconds. TIP: Mixing one scoop with 6-8 oz. of nonfat milk instead of water will give you a thicker, creamier shake.

BLENDER: Add one rounded scoop of 100% Whey Gold Standard™ to a blender filled with 6-8 oz. of water, nonfat milk, or your favorite beverage. Blend for 20-30 seconds. Then add 1 or 2 ice cubes and blend for an additional 30 seconds. SHAKE UP YOUR SHAKE: By adding a few high-energy ingredients to your shake you can blend up a delicious meal: try adding fresh or frozen fruits (strawberries, bananas, etc.), peanut butter, flaxseed oil, unflavored yogurt, coconut, slivered almonds, or other ingredients. STACK YOUR SHAKE: By adding other supplements including creatine, glutamine, taurine (e.g. CGT10), and/or BCAA powders you can make 100% Whey Gold Standard™ an even more powerful post-workout recovery product.

SUGGESTED USE: Consume approximately 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight per day through a combination of high protein foods and protein supplements. For the best results, consume your daily protein allotment over several small meals spread evenly throughout the day.

I am a 26 year old woman who is trying to get back in shape after having my two kids. This product was recommended to me by a friend, since it is whey protein Isolates, which I was told Isolates are best to tone up. I dont need to lose much weight as I am generally small, but I do need to lose a few inches and tone up.Would this be the right product for me?
A shopper on Sep 11, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Whey isolates yield a high percentage of pure protein and virtually lactose free, carbohydrate free, fat free, and cholesterol free. Adding additional protein to your diet without, an excise program is not going to "tone up" your body, it's going to add weight and mass. If your goal is to lose weight you should looking at some type of theromgenic product, such as OxyELITE Pro.

I am a 20 year old female and I am looking to loose a good 14 pds and tone up, I haven't yet tried protein shakes in with my diet and exercise. I eat up to 1,000 calories a day and go to the gym regularly. I am hoping to see more results by consuming this product with slim toned muscle. I do NOT want to be bulky in any way. Would this be a good workout companion to try for energy, strength, and toning?
A shopper on Mar 1, 2011
BEST ANSWER: I would highly recommend it, it is a very lean protein so it won't make you gain body fat while taking it. You didn't ask it, but if you eat under 1200-1500 calories a day you won't loose as much weight. Eating too few calories causes your body to going into starvation mode and you will burn muscle and preserve fat.

I just purchased this and i am new to this protein powder stuff. Now my main question is how much should i mix and how many times a day?
A shopper on Dec 12, 2009
BEST ANSWER: Listen. You use it after a workout, you take one cup using the little cup given inside the jar and mix it with milk. People say you can use water but it tastes horrible and isnt thick enough. Not saying you cant use it with water, but milk with chocolate is obviously a better choice. You take it once a day, this size jar that you bought is only a month. However if later on you decide to buy a bigger jar, such as the 5lb. 3 month supply, you can make a choice of taking this in the morning and afternoon.

Hope this helped! Happy Holidays!

Can i mix protein powder into hot coffee?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I think it mixes best when shaken, so if you can shake the liquid you're mixing it into, then I would say yes. BUT be careful shaking hot liquids in a sealed container because the pressure build-up may cause the lid to pop off unexpectedly!

if i weigh 147 how many scoops a day should i be taking?
A shopper on Jun 7, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Gold Standard is a protein supplement, not your only source of protein. It is recommended 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight for muscle growth. You will want to try for 147 grams of protein daily, through meals and supplements. Your protein intake should be spread throughout the day. Each scoop of Gold Standard provides 24 grams of protein. Mixing with 6 to 8 ounces of milk will add more protein and may taste better.

Start by documenting what you eat. Try for 3 meals and 2 snacks. On workout days, add a post workout Gold Standard drink. Use the protein drink for your snacks. For meals, try chicken breasts, fish, or low fat beef. Keep a log and reach your target 147 grams of protein daily. Good workouts are necessary to promote muscle growth.
Is this anything like the Whey Protein six star elite series? I'm new to this brand and I find the elite series to have a very grainy taste after strenuous mixing. I even use an electric mixer for minutes on hand only to still have granuals. Does this product have a grainy taste after mixing too?
A shopper on Feb 26, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This product is different than the Whey Protein six star elite series - it has more isolated protein than any other whey protein on the market now. This product will prove to have less grainy taste after mixing as it is better at mixing into drinks than other whey proteins.
