More than just acid
I definitely recommend this product over ascorbic acid. Bioavailability and absorption matter when it comes to vitamin supplements. Raw fruits and vegetables are the best, but if you need a boost in vitamin C, go with this.

The metabolites you would need in order to get anything out of the ascorbic acid would be in the food that you would have been eating anyway if you didn't need the supplement. This product is a true supplement.
