About the Author

Health and wellness obsessed, Rachel is on a mission to work with her amazing team to create GNC brand products and content to help GNC’s customers in the lifelong quest to Live Well.


She received her Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. Her studies focused on behavior change, community health and epidemiology. She received two Bachelor of Science degrees from Penn State University—one in Applied Nutrition Science and one in Life Sciences. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 2011 after completing her yearlong dietetic internship where she did a supervised practice in hospitals, long-term care & rehab facilities, retail, school nutrition, etc.


Rachel currently serves as GNC’s Vice President of Product Innovation and Science. She leads two teams of science experts: the Product Design and Scientific Content teams. The Product Design team spends a great deal of time combing through the scientific literature to identify the best ingredients to be used in our GNC brand products and then formulates our products in collaboration with our brand, merchandising and product development partners. The Scientific Content team manages our Live Well blog and provides on-trend and science backed content ranging from articles to social media posts and more. Rachel has over 12 years’ experience in the wellness and dietary supplement industry; getting her start in Research and Development with GNC in 2011.


In her spare time, Rachel is a mother to 3 kids who keep her busy with all of their sports and activities. She is a lifelong fitness fanatic who enjoys lifting weights, running, skiing, riding her Peloton, walking her 100lb. Bernedoodle, Tucker, and golfing with her husband. She enjoys cooking elaborate meals for her friends and family whenever she can find the time!
