Why is testosterone so important?

What is Tesnor?

What research has been done on Tesnor?
Tesnor has two randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical studies demonstrating its ability to boost free and total testosterone levels in men. Results also show improvements in hand grip strength and subjective feelings of stress and other age-related symptoms.
In the first study, 120 healthy young men ages 21-35 consumed 200 mg Tesnor, 400 mg Tesnor, or a placebo for 8 weeks. Measurements included serum hormones, hand grip strength, and mid-upper arm circumference. Both doses of Tesnor showed significant improvements in free testosterone and hand grip strength after 8 weeks compared to placebo. The high dose of Tesnor also showed significant increases in total testosterone and luteinizing hormone compared to placebo. There were no significant changes in dihydrotestosterone (DHT), estradiol, or cortisol [4].
In a second study, 120 healthy older men ages 36-55 consumed 200 mg Tesnor, 400 mg Tesnor, or a placebo for 8 weeks. Measurements included a questionnaire called the Aging Male Symptoms (AMS) scale, which measures symptoms and quality of life in aging men. Another questionnaire called the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) was also used, which assesses perceived levels of stress. Other measurements included serum hormones and hand grip strength. Both doses of Tesnor significantly improved total AMS scores, including improvements in physical, psychological, and sexual health component scores. After 8 weeks, both doses had significant improvements in free and total testosterone compared to placebo. The higher dose had testosterone improvements even sooner, with significant results in increasing free and total testosterone levels starting at 2 weeks. At the end of the study, both doses also had significant improvements in PSS scores and hand grip strength vs placebo. There were no significant changes in DHT, cortisol, or estradiol levels, however there was a significant increase in the ratio of testosterone/estradiol in the 400 mg dose after 8 weeks compared to placebo [5].
