PITTSBURGH, May 2, 2024 – GNC, the global leader in health and wellness, in collaboration with the American Diabetes Association® (ADA), is proud to announce that they have once again successfully reached and surpassed their fundraising goal for this year’s national campaign. Building on the success of last year’s efforts, the partnership between the two renowned organizations continues to make strides in supporting the over 38 million Americans living with diabetes and the millions more at risk.
From March 3, 2024, to April 14, 2024, GNC customers showed their support by making donations at GNC stores nationwide and online. Thanks to the community’s generosity, the campaign not only reached its ambitious goal but exceeded expectations, achieving over $110,000 in donations.

Eager to get involved and further boost the campaign’s impact, GNC CEO Michael Costello, alongside the GNC Live Well Foundation, announced additional donations to the cause if the campaign met its mark. With the news of the campaign’s success, Team GNC will now be rounding up the total contribution and helping the total donation reach $125,000.
“The outpouring of support from our customers and the immense support from our Coaches in the stores, has once again proven that together we can make a significant difference,” said Costello. “I am proud and excited to personally add another $5,000 to the contribution, and that the GNC Live Well Foundation will match that generosity and add even more so that our total reaches $125,000. Everyone here at GNC is committed to our mission of championing health and wellness for all. Partnering with an amazing group like the ADA was a perfect match and once again has yielded awesome results.”
Rebecca Gardner, Sr. Director of Strategic Initiatives for GNC and Chairperson of the Live Well Foundation, echoed this sentiment, “Our mission has always been to create a world where everyone can pursue a healthier life. This year’s campaign once again proves how collective action can drive substantial progress in diabetes research and awareness. We are beyond grateful for every donation made toward this vital cause.”
The funds raised through this campaign will directly support the ADA’s efforts in diabetes research, advocacy, and education, providing critical resources for those impacted by diabetes and moving closer to a world free of this disease.
